@Bjartne: since you don't have any practise, and since Bathurst is a pretty hard track, I would recommed you, not to take part at the race today. For sure you can practise on the server whenever you want.
Not 100% sure I will make it either, and if I will I may have to quit halfway through. Chances are I will make it, and hopefully finish, but I'm tired, so my mind may say no then.

Bathurst can be hard, if you're quite new, also without driving assists, the downhill can be messy.
Also I'm tired as well. I woke up waaaay to early today.
Yes, I'm an amateur, but it would be fun to race together with you guys, so I can't see why you don't recommend me to take part. Isn't it possible to gain a couple of points if I finish the race at least?

If you decide to take part and you complete the race, the chances of you getting points are very high

You should definitely take part.
There's just one thing that's very important: when you get lapped make sure they can pass you without any problems.
Plenty of time between now and the race to get familiar enough with the track, and learn some braking points, so look forward to seeing you later Bjartne. The more the merrier!
Was a shame to miss such an attritional race last time, so hopefully still good chance of picking up a few more points this week for me!
@Bjartne: You can take part, if you want. I just thought, that it could be a bit boring for you, because most people already had 2 weeks on this track and are probably much faster than you(no offence at this point). It would be great if you would choose a car though.
No problem mates, I excpect to loose, so I won't be bored or annoyed.
The download is finishing at any moment now, and after having downloaded the updates and followed the steps from jihardy, I hopefully am able to join in tonight.

around 5h to the start...just saying, because I don't know which timezone you're in.
Looks like points are again guaranteed for anyone who makes it to the line, and good points after the inveitable crashes and drop outs. Makes me feel a lot better about my relaxed pace. Saving myself for tracks i actually like (which is not Hungary so another few weeks of moaning on my end ).
And i must say i'm a lot more excited for after the race, when i can chill out and watch the BBL/Ewan(?) commentary stream! No pressure
The race starts in 50 minutes, we will start at exactly 21 CEST, as always there will be a 15 minute quali session, if you missed quali you can join during warm up
