Hi all,
I have an question about database compatibility. I would like to have and 2006 database (PCMFreaks 2006 DB), which is created to Pro cycling manager 2012, but I haven´t this version. I have an 2011 and 2013. So do you think that 2006 database will work on Pro cycling manager 2013? Or it´s necesary to buy a 2012 version? Thanks for your reply.
Best regards
Jiri |

The databases structures are not compatible. Maybe it would be possible to copy the data to another database structure but I cannot help you with that.
But I think you should find the old games really cheap. |

If the database was created for PCM 12 then it would be somewhat easy to copy the stuff over to PCM 11 or PCM 13 with Excel Editor (credits to the guy above me).
Once you figured out how it works it's gonna be fairly easy to convert it all. Should you need some explanations we're here

Ohhh...So, great, I´m gonna try it. But first of all, do you have some tips how to do it? Do you think that I have to copy the data from database 2006 to some structure of database for Pro cycling manager 2011 or 13 isn´t it? Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it. |

You can't copy-paste the data completely because there are some very small structural changes between those 2 games. Nonetheless, it should be easy to copy column by column, and especially with stats, you can copy them all easily.
To make your life easier you can download two copies of the excel editor and put one in a folder called "Excel1" or anything else and the other in a folder called "Excel2" and so on. Then don't forget to rename the second one to exporter2.xls or anything not to make them conflict and so you can use them at the same time.

You could try on pcm focus, they should have it on their server.

Hi, I must apologize, but I don´t know how to do it in excel editor. I normally use Lachi´s editor, but this excel editor I´m little bit out of idea how to do it. When I start the exporter.xls, there will be the table with some button (export CDB,...) but when I click on it, it didn´t work. Do you have some idea how to do it? Thanks for your help. And sorry, that I wasting your time. |

Ok, so editor is finally works. So what´s now? I don´t understand "copy column by column"...Do you mean column from database 2006 to column in some other database or what? Thank you I hope that we could do that |

Good to know you got it to work
First exteact the 2006 db cdb and open all the important tables you want to copy (dyn_cyclist, dyn_team, sponsors, sta_race and sta_stage, all the palmares related tables).
Now in exporter2.xls open the base db of pcm 13 and open the same tables.
Now copy the data of each column in the corresponding columns, if you find out that the structure of the db is the same for some consecutive columns you can copy paste more data at the same time.
