At least Purito is a clean rider in my opinion. so I will still rate him 10/10.

And this is how you win a GT Astana, gg!

Great stage and deserved podium by Majka def. Dumo got plenty of chances left for a GT win
Purito is a pussy and boring rider? 1. He had nothing left in the tank in the 3rd week so don't know what else he could of done, I think he did well to hold onto 2nd especially as his career is clearly on the decline 2. Purito isn't boring, 2 stage wins in the Tour were pretty good plus many other wins in his career. 3. I don't think Purito has ever really been a true 3 week rider, he's never had the arsenal to win a GT and even when he was in crazy form in 2012 he was still exposed in the TT.

If they have a GT route like the TdF 2012 - Dumoulin for me is a very strong bet for that. He had a fantastic race and the final GC does not reflect how close he was.
For me Quintana showed throughout this race that he has winning mentality. Aru takes the win, his improvement in chrono was the x factor for him and that he had mofo style team. Team is vital - Froome would not have won this years tour without Poels/Thomas, Aru would not have won this without Landa/Zeits/LLS. Dumoilin had no-one really, so impressive from him.

Also quite happy that Meintjes holds his 10th place in GC. Huge talent he is. |

Purito is already getting old. He already raced at TdF and won 2 stages. And this was max he could do at Vuelta.
So stop expecting miracles from him. |

You can see there is a "In my opinion" statement there. Nice pun by the way.

Feeling very bad for Dumoulin, perhaps most of all he won't even be on any podium tomorrow.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Well he takes home 2 stages and a 6th place, I think once the dust settles he will be very happy with this Vuelta

Great racing.
This makes me nominate GT rider of the year as being
Aru or Contador
2nd In Giro and 1st in Vuelta with alot of attacking and heart.
Contador 1st in Giro 5th in the Tour with toughest line up and a lot of fatigue.
Entertainment throughout two GTs from them, respect.
Quintanas 2nd at the Tour and 4th in Vuelta also impressive

there's nothing more to left, great Vuelta, have to admit that Dumoulin impressed me a lot! Congratulations to his performance from the start to the finish, awesome stage win against Purito and Froome, impressive time trial and holding Aru's rear wheel so so long in the mountains... I'm quite sad, but he should be very proud
Thank you Andy for everything!
