Purito needs Contador style Fuente attack or Schleck style Gelibier attack. He has nothing to lose. He has podium many times already at Vuelta. All depends on his team though. |

Why is everyone saying Aru kept the Vuelta alive? He will easily win it now, it would have been more exiting if Dumoulin had half a minute on him.
But I'm still hoping for Purito to destroy everyone on the last stages, he would definitely deserve a Vuelta win.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Thanks for speaking this out loud.

Well, Aru is a good climber and all, but I don't know why I don't like him. Well, all I want is that Purito or Majka wins this Vuelta. But

because people kept saying that this TT will decide the Vuelta all week, indicating that after this stage there aren't many oppertunities available to take back time.

Now Purito must go for it, I think. If Dumoulin somehow can manage to get Aru behind himself in the GC, I will be surprised. |

Very good that it is now between Aru and Dumoulin. They are the ones that deserve to win la Vuelta. These two actually went for it when they had to. Unlike Purito and Majka.

Majka couldn't and Purito did go more than Aru iirc. IMO Purito deserves it the most.

yeah the final 500 metres wow. He should have gone earlier.
Aru attacked from 8 km out in Andorra then from 4 km out in Campoo.

JRod had gone with him on both occasions. As you could see in Andorra, he simply wasn't strong enough. Why should he attack, jsut to crack? He rode intelligent. Try to stay with the stronger Aru and maybe drop him in the last KM. You can't say that he didn't deserve it, just for not attacking stupidly. Also Aru could've done way more with his capabilities. Dumoulin deserved it more than Aru. He fought every day to stay with them.

Tomorrow's climb comes too late for Purito and Aru- therefore, using simple and completely improbable logic, Dumoulin will launch a Froome-style I'm-not-really-attacking attack, TT down the ascent and put about 30 seconds into the aforementioned duo.

Double feeling. Tom did great but so did Aru. Now it's Aru's race to lose. Normally Dumoulin can't win this. 3s is nothing |

Stage 18 and 20 is where Aru can take the jersey.
Don't think stage 19 is hard enough, actually think that a few of the hilly sprinters fancy their chances on that type of finish.
The odds are in favor of Aru, but everything can happend. |

Perfectly summed up!
You'd expect Purito will try something in the remaining stages but can't see how he gains back enough if any time. Good ride by Chaves today so looks like he bags his first high placing in a GT which is a good thing
