Aru 1:53 down to Tom D. and will try to win the whole race in the next few days.

The Vuelta is finished.I realized that Dumoulin was gonna win after stage 11 but didn't post here
PS:This is what happens when you put a TT after the mountains
The climbers just look at each other and get afraid of losing to each other and the TTists take the advantage. The remaining stages are not hard.
The TTs should be put before the mountains to make for exciting racing.
The Vuelta really isn't finished yet. Where Purito and Aru can gain time?
In stage 18, 19 and 20, they can gain some time. Paul and DiCyc:The problem is that the remaining stages are not hard enough to crack Dumoulin
only 1 sec difference provisionally...so you were kinda wrong. Aru will win the Vuelta with ease.

Rodriguez and Aru don't have the mentality of Contador. And the gradients ofthe remaining climbs suit Dumoulin almost as much as pure climbers like Aru or Purito.Plus the stages are ending with descent finishes. On stage 20 there is a 7km flat section after the Cotos where Dumoulin will close the gap easily
because the whole team of Astana is weaker than Dumoulin alone? Aru will probably have attacked and be alone at that time
But Aru is only 2 or 3 seconds behind in GC so he can win this Vuelta

pretty confident that Astana will put some guys in the breakaway for that precise reason
