La Vuelta a España 2015 - Week 2
Wilier
Dumoulin lost 49 seconds. 34 seconds on Aru.

Edit: I'm pretty sure he passed the line at 49, but the result says 51 seconds.

This race is so damn exciting in comparison to tour de france

Purito just misses red. But surprisingly he is strong. Could this be the one for him? Just hoping....

Tom D. cracking in this stage wasn't a surprise. I always enjoyed Purito's winning rides, all of them.

Second "mountain" stage when the only things excited is last 5km. Is it flat or mountain stage?

But then it's a couple of stages left that could be really nice, so perhaps the TT will not be a decider.

I hope so, before he do that, he should take much time in the MO. We all know he's not a very good time trialist.

Still only lost 50 seconds to Purito and 35 to Aru.

They could and should have done much more damage.
Tomorrow is the final chance, because the Navaccerada stage isn't hard. They have to put 1'30m or more.

He has to fight Aro, who is not (that) better it TT. Majka is better that Purito, but I don't think he will make more than 1-1.20 on Purito. Tom D. is the real threat if don''t completely crack tomorrow.

Purito is perhaps even better not having red, but still attack when times OK

Indeed, not much of a time gap, but I still hope Purito will nail this Vuelta before he retires. Astana and Aru is in deep trouble nao.

I really, really hope that Purito can pull it off. Dumoulin is cracking, sadly. He won't TT as good, because of the fatique probably, so I guess 1 minute 30, is what he will gain in the ITT. Aru will probably win the Vuelta. In the high Mountains, he is better than Purito, as well as a bit in the TT. Will be some exciting next stages.

Dumoulin is done, he's not going to pull back big chunks of time in the TT, yes he should out TT the GC guys this I have no doubt but the gaps won't be that big, he's no longer in with a chance to win this and will struggle to podium. Still a massive effort from the guy, he certainly knows how to fight

I don't think Aru is better in the high mountains than Purito, Aru doesn't strike me as a true high mountains type of climber. The TT between the two is a flip of the coin job but I'd agree that Aru has a slight edge.

If Quintana is not getting better during the next stages, I think that Purito can win the GC. If he not f*ck the ITT, he got a chance - and it can be his final one.

I so want Rodriguez to win this Vuelta. I'd actually give money to see that happen Smile

I dont get why LLS wanted to pull that badly. Had he just given the reigns to Rosa, Tom D would at least be 1 minute further down. They should have kept going early, I dont get why their directeurs didnt tell them?

Anyways, I didnt like the climb. Same stats at the Alpe, but pretty crappy imo.

It wasn't a very exciting climb, though I think it's a bit early too judge already. Needs to return and see if fireworks happen.
Though it's your opinion of course, I believe the riders make the mountain most times so if we had seen a different race here, the climb might look a lot nicer. Smile
