Biggest mistake that Giant has made today is trying to win GT sprinter stages with classic sprinter.
Even now when they have none sprinters left..he missed it. Why not go with Mezdec?
Thats utter Bullshit. Degenkolb was by far the fastest today, and he also won a lot of Vuelta stages during the last years. He is definately the one to go with.
2015 TdF, Vuelta 10 stage ...Zero wins..
Again 0...0..0
2015 TdF had Greipel, Sagan and Cavendish.
2015 Vuelta had Sagan, Bouhanni and Ewan. Now, since they are all gone, you tell that they should take Mezgec....Stagewins will come. btw:
2012: 5 Stages in the Vuelta
2014: 4 Stages and the green jersey in the Vuelta
Luka Mezgec...
xxxx-now: 0 Vuelta stage wins
Or like you would say: "...Zero wins..
Again 0...0..0"

Boeckmans needs another 7 days of induced come, starting to get worried
And I agree playing Mezgec would've been the smart move, play the surprise! He wouldn't have lost in this field.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

MAR2UPILAMI. But you really can't fit that into Degenkolb, yeah
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

I wouldn't be to worried just yet, he has already been cleared of serious brain injuries and an induced coma sounds alot worse that it actually is. I've had friends who've had been put into induced coma's due to bad accidents and recovered, it's a reasonably common practice to give the brain time to heal. It's not great for Boeckmans but he's got a good chance to come out of this

So, how do you feel about tomorrow? Such a big day. I have been waiting for this stage ever since the Tour stopped.
Imma fake a headache and get home around 1-1.30 pm and watch the whole thing. Thats obvious. I say Tom D is gonna lose the jersey and semi bonk into the bottom of top-10 and Quintana for the win. That win will probably also result in the jersey. Gallina and Cortals are incredibly steep and hard!
So many question and the first real mountain stage. Always fascination, especially when its the best stage I probably ever have seen. |

And people ask why Tour de France is the biggest race... I guess thats why. Massive hype for an epic designed stage! |

Quintana will win I agree. No flat to tire him. Don't see anyone beating him.
Nieve should be in the break.
Giant will have a hard with their team.

Purito did design the stage so I would expect some fireworks out of him.
But hopefully we get some big attacks on the Gallina to break it up and give us a scramble to the finish. |

It wouldn't matter if Giant had a stronger team to support Dumoulin, he would get dropped anyway and if he doesn't then there is something seriously wrong with the GC guys

Or there is something wrong w/ Tom D. I mean, we can't accept the fact that he might be doping, just saying.
But I'm pretty sure he'll never survive the high mountains, and might not stay in the top 10.

You're really exaggerating about Tom. TT-ists can perform great on climbs. Even with their weight Cancellara and Martin can be winners in semi-mountain breakaways, be good mountain domestiques. Not top class, but good. What happens when they loose some weight - they get much better in uphill terrain, cuz one kilo down out of 75 means with the same effort you ride with a higher speed. I'm not saying he's clean, but you suspect someone is doped for doing great in hills in a weak field(or at least in bad shape). I'm much more interested in how much he weights currently cuz that could explain how he suddenly became a GC- contender. |

Can't accept he might be doping? I don't get it, who can't accept that cyclists might doping?
