Happy with Pozzovivo racing aggressive and finishing amongst the best of the day. Kinda deserved afterall, I guess. Now it's about limitting the losses in the timetrial. Here's hoping for a decent daily form

Vasyliv did extremely well here, while Lecuisiner was extremely poor. With Wellens overperforming like always, the Young Riders Competition is lost. Again...
Top 10 seems out of the question at this point, even top 15 seems very difficult, so this might turn into a rather horrible race. Atleast my riders tried today, but like always the attacks comes from the worst possible riders. Pichon had the perfect stage yesterday, only to attack today on a stage impossible for him. Also losing two of my main TTers who could have possibly given a good display, and helped us in the Team classification are now out.
Vesuvio is going for a killer race, winning th entire thing, having another rider in the top 10 (atleast), several others in the top 50, and leading the KOM with a domestique. 700-800 points could be in line, waiting here.........

I'm curious as to what Elissonde is doing here. Because that last stage he looked like a guy with 75MO and no nationality bonus, not one with 78MO and the nationality bonus.  |

Big stage race for the likes of Orange here. A third stage win and sicard riding high on GC.
Some lower food chain GC guys really did not turn up there.
Hard stage for my lot, really just a case of waiting for stage 8 to try something I guess.

No, he didn't crash. I remember him being badly positioned, and being left behind when the first cracks appeared in the pack. Not sure if then just gave up on the race, or if he had an actual bad day.

Bahahahaha, what an insane stage  Super Suaza is flying even better than in Colombia last year. Crazy to be 1st and 2nd in GC, with two more in the Top 16, and Slagter leading the KoM too.
Expect to see Taaramae take the race lead after the TT, so Schleck will need to be better on the other mountain stage, but still, can't complain with that result.

Slagter in KoM jersey, awesome  Can't wait to have a maxed version of him for PCT next year(hopefully).
Vesuvio and Orange having an awesome race so far.

Rather low key performance considering the fact how well Suaza did, for example. Also Durbridge with another poor showing, even though this is always possible on a late TT (Viennet though didn't care).
A Top-7 would still be a good result here, so I'm hoping again: if he rides as aggressive as on the previous mountain satge, Pozzovivo should be capable of pulling at least a solid Top10/8/7 in the GC. A pity it's just a second on Nibali. Bonifications are likely to go to either a breakaway or the biggest guns.

What a race for Vesuvio! Wow.
Keizer much better this time. Still a little bit below expectations though. Not sure if he really needs to lose that much on guys like Suaza or Wellens. That said others like Sicard lost even more.
Aru also with a very good stage climbing into 30th GC. |

Bullshit race. Lecuisinier underperforming, again. Pichon attacks on the wrong terrain, again. Wellens and Suaza hugely overperforms, again... So much for leading the PT.

Wouldn`t call 14th that much underperforming by Lecuisinier to be honest.
There are 10 better climbers in the race not counting Ratiy and Suaza. Uran out and Suaza is indeed overperforming.
Then there are riders like Keinath, who really underperform. Or Keizer. Or possibly even Brambilla, though he has a leader here in Gesink.
14th might be 1-2 spots below but it could have been also another 1-2 spots further down as well seeing how many similar riders fight for that GC area. |

Well, on the stage he underperformed, by being way behind Wellens, Ratiy and Faiers. He doesn't seem to score any points, ever. His best result, by far, this season was as helper for Spilak in California. It seems that when these sort of riders are captains they suck, but when they are helpers they can top 10 - Exactly like Wellens is currently doing.
Brambilla is 2 minutes behind Lecuisinier. The difference was the TT. Also he attacked from way out on the first mountainstage and was caught, so can't really see why he should be "underperforming".
Keinath is underperforming, yes, but he also has two team members way above him, so he is probably a domestique.
The most annoying part of having Lecuisinier is that he never attacks. And it just doesn't give any points worth talking about to end up as 13th-15th in the GC races, if you don't get any points from the stages. So in that aspect I think he is underperforming.

Sorry for not being able to comment when I post the reports, but my Internet right now is so bad that I am not able to load the reports properly, which makes them difficult to read. Thus I have logged in at work to give them a proper read 
Stage 5: A disappointing one for us with Guldhammer not able/willing to follow some of the moves that came on the second HC climb, but luckily he managed to get back into it. It looked like a bad day for him where he managed to limit his losses okayish. And as the report says, it might be because of his aggressive riding on stage 4, which in reality makes perfect sense, so I can not really complain.
And wow what a ride from Suaza!!! Really sensational stuff, definitely a huge stage for SN, but also nice to see Sicard win. Congratulations to both!
Stage 6: Slightly worse than hoped for from Guldhammer, but a TT like that is always going to be a significant time loss. Stake Laengen in 12th is cool. Taaramäe showing his intentions of defending the title from last year, congratulations on the win, Crommy. Definitely a huge TT from the Estonian, but Schleck still the favourite for the overall, I would say.
Stage 7: That was on the other hand very, very good from Guldhammer. Can not ask for more You must think though what Schleck could have done there had he been with Taaramäe at the foot of Mont Ventoux, but chapeau again to the Estonian. Clever stuff! He is definitely the big favourite for the overall win now being the stronger puncheur of the two. Hopefully Guldhammer can do something similar to stage 4 on the final one and keep his 10th place, eventhough both Sicard and Faiers are close with a huge gap up to Wellens in 9th. |
