Austria is a very fast track with the slowest speed being around 55 km/h and only really only having to go down to first gear once, that and the fact that there is eight corners around the 4.236 kilometre circuit.
Paul23 - Paul is the outright favour and has been setting the fastest lap times around the track, the only thing that can really stop him is a mistake
fjhoekie - Second fastest man on track, could compete with Paul but will have to set very consistent lap times through out.
jihardy - Having set the third fastest lap so far, hardy can have set an occasional wonder lap, however, his consistency is awful and that is what will end him
SSJ2Luigi - Can do fast laps and is fairly consistent, but he is not quite at the level of the top three
Miguel98 - Can do a low 1:37 according to him, not sure about his consistency though
ryant - Good at clean racing and is a very solid and consistent driver
Bikex - Ok lap times, also good at overtakes n stuff
SN - Like bikex, he has OK lap times, internet could be the end of him though
dev4evr - No clue
DubbelDekker - Don't know much about his times or anything like that, I expect him to OK though
TMM - Won't make it to the race
Croatia14 - Fucking slow according to him

Main goal for all of us should be to finish, the season won't be won/lost in the first race...Also test out some pitstops, so it doesn't fail tomorrow.
EDIT: you need to assign the buttons LCD up/down/left/right, iirc. Otherwise its clearly named pit menu. Its important.

Important tips:
-watch the fuel. I would suggest putting in 45l from the start and refuel a bit.
-keep it easy in round 1(there's also a formation lap)
-should you come off, never simply rejoin. The cars on the track have the right of way...If they don't give you room to rejoin, you have to wait.
-Touching others isn't a problem, as long as you don't shrug him off the track.
-The guy from behind needs to watch, keep in mind that we are mostly amateurs and can break at different times, so don't drive 1m behind on the same line.
-If you should crash someone out, carry on, I will watch the race afterwards to hand out penalties, so don't judge while the race runs(there are exceptions, like crashing someone slightly off the track, then let him rejoin and let him pass you)
-don't write in the chat.
-at least 1 stop has to happen for everyone
-don't come off the track with all 4 wheels(track means asphalt + curbs for me) If you should do this too often, I will award a penalty
-if you get lapped, let the faster guys through.
-if you are somehow faster than the guys who want to lap you, just try to get away from them
-should you have crashed(and your car is going slowly), try to get it into the pits to repair, but stay out of the way of other drivers(mainly stay on the right side)
-should you have crashed(and your car doesn't move anymore) stay where you are until you got lapped again by all guys(or wait 2 minutes) and then leave the game
-don't overtake on the formation lap
-also like in real life, when you finished the race, you need to make it around 1 lap and stop in the pits(so pack in enough fuel). If you shouldn't complete the lap you will be getting a 20 second penalty(pushing in another car is allowed, so you can help each other)
-the podium finishers, please stay on the server, I want to make some screenshot for the after-race-conclusion

I'm going to butt my head back into this thread.
If you need a field-filler, there's a 75% chance I'll be able to race tomorrow. I haven't really practiced neither the cars or track, but I did download them earlier today.
I know the basic rules for racing, having played a reasonable amount of iRacing in my day, and I can borrow a wheel for the night.

Just a few questions though:
1) Which version of the track are we using? I've already downloaded the "Red Bull Ring 2010 - The Prologue 1.00".
2) Other than the VTCC mod and the two updates, are there any downloads I need?
3) Is there any way for me to test my connection to the game server, other than waiting until race time tomorrow? I'd rather not set the wheel up and everything, only to discover I can't connect.

1 and 2) jihardy should've uploaded a version, where all tracks are already installed on
3) why can't you connect?
