First three stages of Eneco Tour are up.
Purito stages to come now, time to put the pressure on Mochema!

Thanks Shonak.
Vanmarcke and GVA doing well so far, finishing at top of the favourites at the first cobbled stage. Would've preferred not a break to win the first decisive stage, but there are four more cobbled stages to go, so I'm optimistic that Vanmarcke still can get enough time out of the ones in front of him now. |

Thanks for the new results.
Kittel still in points jersey is a good thing. With no more flat stage to come (?) He mainly has to survive the mountain stages.
That break at eneco is annoying. Let's hope they all will lose some time on proper cobblers in the next stages.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Why can't every race be like Eneco?
Annoying to lose the leader's jersey like that but at least Thomas is right up there still.

Vegeta Cycling being worse than the Control Team and other fails of the Eneco Tour can now be enjoyed in results thread.
Mollema sigh.. if Purito is unable to crack Mollema of all people, than this season is simply cursed.
Spoiler The problem with Enecou Tour was: Favourites attacked countless times but none of them ever put in any work because there were always at least 3 otherr riders in the group present.. meanwhile the peloton pulled them back in instantly. Strange, strange.

Thanks Shonak for the results. The probability of a break winning the GC is in a cobbled race always a little higher, though I hoped Vanmarcke could at least get away on one cobbled stage like he did a the cobbled stage of the Tour of Northern Europe. |

Betancur is settling for third in the vuelta now, hopefully he can defend it against VDB and Nieve. Mollema keeping Rodriguez in check is really surprising me. Liberty going to be renamed Liberty 2eguros next season?

In a race like this normally this would be Ecopetrol. De Maar three times in the botd and Duque getting a stage podium saved us. With a bit more luck Duque could even have won the one-hill-KoM competition.

It'd be well in line with my MG-Team 2trava.

2nd and the points jersey. That's more points than we'd get in 10 Vueltas.
Looks like Moses didn't finish. God will be pissed.

La Vuelta
König dropping down to 6th was to be expected, but that's still better than I had expected.
And I'm really flattered Nizzolo won another bunch sprint - just sad that there was somebody still up the road this time. However, he has more points than Cavendish
It's nice to see Sarmiento and Pimenta joining the breaks in the mountain stages - hopefully they'll be able to win another stage like this.
Avenir
Reinders wins the first sprint stage in the biggest U23 race of the season - that guy looks really promising!
And Kudus kicks right in as well! Second place on the first mountain stage, another podium on the second - and he's in the leaders jersey with quite a margin already.
Eneco Tour
These constant breakaway wins are just weird. Kinda destroys the racing when the top favourites never win a stage. And the gaps are totally off as well. Though I am very happy with Devenyns' 5th place personally, I'd favour not to see the race in WT again...

The team is doing decent in the Vuelta, with Nerz still in a good position to get into the top 10. Would be nice to get a stage win or a few more good results though.
A great start for my dev. team in l'Avenir, with the win in the Team Time Trial. Too bad Valgren for some reason lost 5 minutes on stage 4. Herr Klotz still up there, but it would be better for the team if we could bet on two riders.
Eneco Tour was just a strange race, although I'm happy that Jungels got almost 4 minutes on the last stage and that he got himself into the GC top 10. A few top 10 places on several stages is not bad either. |

Nieve continues to do well in the Vuelta while Costa is becoming pretty disappointing, not having leadership is affecting his high GC hopes.
The youth FC Porto continue their strong team form with Kozhatayev looking good in l'Avenir with a stage win and currently in a podium GC spot.

A couple of top 10 places in Canada keeps Eurosport moving along but some of our rivals are having a strong finish to the season.

Our first results in a little while but some decent efforts in Czech and Canada.
Gatto managing a second place in Montreal is really nice and Guardini not winning is compensated by a Marcato 4th in Prague.
Thanks guys for keeping this one ticking.

#:1015 - Someone forget to open the stage 13 spoiler.
-------
Thanks for the updates.
Somewhat disappointing Vuelta, 100% yes. Van Hecke winning is a big reprieve though and still means we have victories in all ICL GTs. Mollema over-performing in virtually every stage - eh . VDB has easily the best recovery, so he could still end up in 3rd spot yet to salvage something more.
The cobbled AI is terrible on the game, Shonak, I know from doing the Baltic Chain Tour. Langeveld would have been second were it not for breakaways staying ahead, would have been interesting to see where the Dutch champ would have finished with some more attrition. Still a good result there and he could be our rider of the season if Gilbert does nothing more this season.
Spanish champ to win the Vuelta! |
