Yeah, why not?!! The motorbike is giving Wellens a lead-out for the stage win. Fucking cameramen. |

Yeah that's why GVA managed to get down to 18s with the motorbike in front and lost time to be 30s behind once the motor got behind him. Sure... I'm not saying it's directly in front, it'd be too obvious. But it affects the race for sure.
Edit: Finally the motor is behind Wellens. After it guaranteed him the stage win and the leaders jersey. |

Great win by Wellens. The GC should be his too now. |

A stage for men, won by a boy (wow, he looks young doesn't he, like Formulo)

Wellens was incredible in the rain today. Such a great rider. Eneco Tour 2.0 is his race. Until Benoot starts beasting it that is.
For BMC maybe he'd been better if Phil broke away. To me he looked better before GVA's attack and GVA didn't exactly look particularly strong in his solo ride either, seen as how he got caught by Geschke fairly fast.

Deserved win form Wellens with a slight push from the home cameraman. He would have won it even without that but still this way he gets the GC for sure. Hmmmm... I'm trying to remember where have I seen such a scenario - win the penultimate stage of Eneco tour with 50s and get the GC |

But he has been pretty anonymous in le Tour and the Giro last year has shown that he's best when he goes stage hunting. Surely he has potential to be another Van den Broeck but unlikely he'd ever podium a GT. He should be much more fun if he stays/becomes classics-specialist/stage hunter. He'll be fun at Il Lombardia if he is remotely in this shape.
