Laurens Ten Dam was hit by a car during training. Ten Dam's Vuelta participation is therefore unsure. |

Ten Dam definitely no Vuelta.
Making Lotto's Vuelta lineup even shittier than it was, unless they let Robert or Wilco ride it after all, but I'm unsure whether that'd be a good idea.
According to himself, he got hit by a car from behind driven by a ''84yo with a wooden leg'', who didn't even see Laurens ride.

From the looks of it Vaughters is already hanging Danielson out to dry, kind of expected but I thought he'd wait until after the B sample

Good news for Basso although it doesn't mention any timeframe for when or if he will ride professionally again this year.

Someone did sabotage for the norwegian youth championship this weekend by putting barbed wire in the lap. Not the first time a prick has done his best to sabotage races in Norway, but I think this is the most serious I've ever seen. Luckily it was noticed by the organizers before the races started, but trying to injure 11 to 16-year-olds in this manner is still a terrible thing. If racing in Norway gets this dangerous I'll retire.

What about this, Kittel not in Vuelta squad for Giant-Alpecin!
A transfer has been made?
or
Is he still ill(!) ?
I think of Kittel ---> OPQS
Cavendish ---> Trek
What do you think?

#1 Degenkolb goes to the Vuelta to defend his points jersey (with one stage win down on Valverde and equal to Purito, he could also become the active rider with the most stage wins there).
#2 He wants to win Vattenfall and they clash.
#3 The Vuelta stage profiles always suit Degenkolb much more.

Lots of climbing early on in that race. Better race profile by a mile for Degenkolb anyway. |

Secret Pro is back
https://cyclingtip...-the-iaaf/
He spills quite some peloton talk on how frosty the situation is over at SKY (Sky is very much the cold and calculating team of the sport — every rider that has left the team says that unless you’re a robot and you don’t adhere to their protocols you just won’t fit in.), Garmin-Cannondale (One of their riders who failed to finish the Tour didn’t get invited to the after-Tour team dinner in Paris, something I’ve never heard of.) and FDJ (The view of the team from most people in the peloton is that it’s a pretty shitty set up.)

Like the 20th report that says Vaughters and Wegelius treat their riders like shit.

Oh the secret pro salty about some more shit. Just like his garbage Giro article. Sounds like every race is too hard for him.
This isnt even written by a real pro cyclist at this point. Just a sham to get page views. I mean read those first 3 paragraphs, are you kidding me?
Then the rest of the article is just hearsay that has been in the news for weeks. |

While I do agree with you that the Secret Pro articles are pretty bad I can assure you that most parts are written by a Pro (actually a couple of pro's) and not by the guys at cyclingtips, the only thing they do is add a little misdirection to keep the identities of the riders a secret. I actually know a couple of the guys who are on staff at Cyclingtips

I dont doubt they originally were written by pros, I remember reading a few early on that were decent articles. However there is no way you can convince me that last one was written by someone in the peloton. |

WT schedule during last months of the season will be a bit different next season. Eneco moves to end of September. I suppose that means Poland will stay in August and not move to July like in 2012.
