Not sure if this thread has been made or if it is in the right thread

I have noticed (probably like many others) that in giro flat stages the 1st place only gets 25 pts HALF of what is earned in real life

How can I change it, I am not a technology guru but I can work the editor, thanks for any sort of help

Yess this is possible, I asked this question yesterday aswell at the database topic and you should take a look at it Smile

After trying some things yesterday i recommend using wordpad to open the xml file.

The issue with intermediate sprints for the Giro is almost impossible to get correct with Cyanide limited options.
First you should use notepad, even notepad++ when fixing xml files.

Lets see the Giro special options on having higher points on Flat stages then on Hill and Mountain stages.
In the present XML you got 1 option for sprints, and as far as I know (and tested) you haven't got the option similar to the finish.
On finish you got a possibility to have different points depending on what kind of stage it is. Flat, Hill or Mountain (also ITT,TT)
That's how you select different points at the end.
However while the race is on this selection should have been avalaible to make a selection when sprint-bonif is at work during sprints, BUT no dice.

This forces the option on picking one of the sprint point system and I understand it has been selected a interediate decision.
Not the best but I got a tricky solution if you dare test it.
I am not sure if it works in career, but in single race it does.

You make 3 different XML files,
you change the sprint points in the tags

<sprint_type type ="sprint_bonif">
<sprint_bonus source_in="SPRINT" type_in="TIME" source_out="STAGE" type_out="POINTS">
<rank_bonus rank="1" bonus ="4" />
<rank_bonus rank="2" bonus ="2" />
<rank_bonus rank="3" bonus ="1" />
</sprint_bonus>

put the different sprint points and be sure to have the correct xml before you start a stage. You have to keep renaming the xml files before you start, so that means when it's changing times you need to end the game, change names, start again and hope for the best.

I'm not sure you followed me, since it's kind of tricky.
