Great you are also in dev4ever. 3 more drivers!
Auto shifting, ABS, traction control and anti lock brakes will all be available. So far the races will probably happen around 20:00 GMT. Races will also occur every two weeks with 10 lap practice races in between. |

I love the idea of slower cars! Could make it much better controllable than the last time.

@jihardy
I won't be able to race if they are at 20:00 GMT, I wake up at 21:00 GMT (6:00 in the morning here) just to let you know.

Well qualifying will take around half an hour, could you perhaps wake up half an hour earlier on race days? Plus, once daylight savings starts for you guys, you will be able to make the races if you wake up at six |

My parents don't let me play games before 6, although it will be fine at daylight savings.

Bah. Looks awesome but I'm not blowing 30 dollars or more right now.
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

14, but it'd be pretty interesting if I get up at 5:00 in the morning to play games.

Great, September will probably be around our second, our maybe first, race of the year so you won't miss too much. We have hit the eight drivers mark as well so that is excellent progress! |

Proper application time, and as said i won't be available until roughly September;
Nationality: Brunei (if you don't know this by now...)
What time I can race (GMT aka PCM.Daily time on a Saturday): Slight unknown but pretty much any evening from ~7pm onwards
Which rules you want to see: As far as possible the real rules for whatever series we race. Just toned down a bit so that it's more about fun than serious realism.
Any extra ideas: - Keep races to 60mins tops, makes it much more accesible.
- Scale points to distance completed (e.g. If you pass 1/4 distance you get 1/4 points etc.) for those in points positions even if they retire before the end.
- Provide a good set-up that everyone can start from for each event. I don't want to spend hours testing only to end up with a set-up that is seconds off the pace.
- Allow a race restart in case of Lap 1 accidents, but only once or twice per race. It's the one time everyone will be close together and i know personally the pain of being taken out by an over-eager twit.
- I'd like around 50-75% Damage. Full is a bit extreme but we need some damage.
- Perhaps have two points tables, one for experience/regular sim-racers and one for more novice racers. Gives less skilled drivers something to fight for season long and a bit more focus/challenge.
- Definately voting strongly against F1 and open wheels in general. I just don't find them that engaging anymore (well except i have a good Champ Car mod for Race07). I love Touring Cars or DTMs, especially for online play. Great fun, easy to set-up, durable. Just good series
- If not an F1 car set, then mix up the tracks a bit more. Use some non-F1 circuits to get some variety and other cool tracks in the mix.
How often races are (Every week, every second week etc.): I'm good with the every 2-weeks w. practice race in between. But i would shrink the calendar down from 20 races otherwise we're looking at a 10month season which is loooong. Perhaps 10-15.

I thought to answer your ideas, since there are some great ones in it.

Not sure about this one. On the one site it sounds great to me and on the other site you won't really get rewarded for finishing that much anymore. But this rule is still a nice idea.
- Provide a good set-up that everyone can start from for each event. I don't want to spend hours testing only to end up with a set-up that is seconds off the pace.
Weren't you the guy, who didn't wanted to use the set-up i provided, since you rather fail with yours than win with mine?
- Allow a race restart in case of Lap 1 accidents, but only once or twice per race. It's the one time everyone will be close together and i know personally the pain of being taken out by an over-eager twit.
This rule will definately be there.

50%-75% is fully fine, imo.
- Perhaps have two points tables, one for experience/regular sim-racers and one for more novice racers. Gives less skilled drivers something to fight for season long
and a bit more focus/challenge .
So I am on the one list, and everyone else is on the other? Not quite a fan of this one. I would suggest weight penalties for the winner of a race, to keep it close.
- Definately voting strongly against F1 and open wheels in general. I just don't find them that engaging anymore (well except i have a good Champ Car mod for Race07). I love Touring Cars or DTMs, especially for online play. Great fun, easy to set-up, durable. Just good series
Thats an argument. I heard, that F1 seems to win the vote, but maybe people who won't take part also voted, so we will look into that after the drivers are stig.
- If not an F1 car set, then mix up the tracks a bit more. Use some non-F1 circuits to get some variety and other cool tracks in the mix.
We see what we can do. F1 tracks just mostly have the best quality, but if we find something with good quality, we could include it.

Maybe I'll set up my remote to see if I still know how to play this if "having" the actual game isn't needed.

Nationality: Portuguese
What time I can race: Around 6pm to 10pm
Which rules you want to see: Most current F1 rules (points scheme and things like that).
Any extra ideas: Safety cars activated, with a decent threshold (can be edited in the game's .plr file), so if we get a massive crash, the SC is deployed.
Races have a maximum run of about 1 hour, with the season finale having a 1h30 race.
Entering TMM's thing, everyone should try and make their own setup. A 20-30 minutes practice session, followed by a 15-20 minute qualifying session to define the grid.
The damage multiplier should be set at 60% (it's the best that I've seen from the tests)
The calendar should feature not only F1 tracks. If you want Paul, even though you seem to know this game too (), we can talk about tracks that work decently (good .aiw files especially).
Also, can we more noobies use driving aids? (I only know how to drive without driving aids touring cars, and since F1 is at the top of the table, it's quite a bit hard to drive without them).
How often races are: Every second week. |

I can imagine to be in here, especially with DubbelDekkers ideas to this. Would prefer some kind of Touring Cars if I´m joining. But cars which are good on the breaks would be really good.
I wouldn´t really want to drive for more than half an hour a race, and we should try to make things like pit-stops pretty easy.
Can´t say how much time I have from October on, but I think it´s possible to hold on.
Would like to drive Sunday in the evening, as there is the biggest chance of me being home. |

p.s. yesterday I voted F1 2015 without thinking, but I'd like to change that to "other".
Which rFactor mod would be a good match with what I described above as "relatively slow cars that can take a few hits"?
Not organising this, but if you want a compact mod that takes a few hits...

@Miguel: some nice ideas there, but I will try to get a human drive the SC. Maybe I got one for that job.
About the tracks: I'm looking into this already, so we will probably add some new tracks(although racing tracks, not made for F1 in F1 cars is imo more difficult)
Driving aids are enables(ABS, TC and Auto-Shift(or Auto-clutch for that matter)
