"... and it will be the WC in Bergen in 2017, so the timing is good now."
If we look at the americans, they have one really sh*t season this year, and they also got the WC this year. So let's not hope it goes the same way with the Norweigans in '17

Well while we are talking about new teams and it missed June's thread; guess who is back, back again, Saiz is back, tell a friend! Starting out small first but the plan is to get back in to the professional ranks within five years.
So yeah, I bet the UCI are pleased with the appearance of Aldro Team (from 2016).

Any updates of Paolini, is he going to be banned? Also I know that Boom was under suspicion.
Also I saw that Ballan is back at United Healthcare, I wonder if that will get them an invite to the cobbled classics for next season? |

Boom didn't break any official anti-doping rules just the MPCC rules which is a voluntary organisation so nothing will come of that. I don't think having Ballan in the squad will get United Healthcare any invites to the cobbled classics and I can't see why they would be looking for one anyway, they do want an invite to the Giro so maybe Ballan will help them get a wildcard entry.

We need more spanish teams, so on that front, its definetely good (I suppose the team is spanish?)
Nibali confirming he rides the Giro + Olympic Games next year, no Tour, and I would suppose Vuelta after the Games. |

I am not. Olympics race looks well suited for a rider like him and he cant really combine it with Tour...

He is most likely, but i would not have seen Contador as spanish leader anyway, with likes of Valverde being much better suited...

Of course he can, some of them quite successfully at both (Ulrich, Sammy Sanchez, WigginsTT, FroomeTT)
@TSF: Yeah he is. looking forward to that. Olympic Road Race is always special.

While cycling does need more Spanish teams it does not need one with Saiz involved

Nibali most likely realises his best chance at the moment for another GT win would be the Giro so that makes sense, who knows with an Giro+Olympics RR program we might get the Nibali of old back who just doesn't base his peak around one race and turns up in a couple of races in an attacking mood.
I'm surprised Contador is interested in the Olympics, he has never come across as a rider who performs in one day races

Well, Sammy was 7th at that Tour, so i am speaking about going for the win+Olympics. Also i dont buy biggest dopers of history as good examples, even more when it is TT win for two of these mate.
