Oh boy, SKEuskadi is becoming a quick reality. First it was Zandio and then Nieve and now those guys.. Well, I hope SKY will ride with orange stripes then when they ride PaÃs Vasco instead of them blue ones.
At least SKY know where they get quality riders from. Would be funny if they signed Anton, he would probably not give a single fuck about the SKY train and just pretend all the time to have a bad day until he does some random amazing stuff for some brief seconds and I get all hyped up for nothing, once again.
Hopefully they'll get more opportunities than Nieve does currently and not be mere fuel for the SKY train.
Plus, boy it will be fun to see all those SKY fans having to cheer on those dirty spanish bastards.

Apparently Sky's marginal gains don't work on Basques, still waiting for them to unleash Mikel Nieve's potential and surely Euskaltel - Eusdaki weren't the pinnacle of sport science (). Otherwise it would be funny to see if they could unleash the 2010 Igor Anton again, now that would be a true super-domestique.

If they ride for themselves we can root for them all we want me thinks, I always only cheer for particular riders and hardly for teams (Euskaltel being the prime exception). If they are absorbed by SKY train it doesn't matter anyway since they will ride for some other guy anyway and there's no reason to cheer for them that day.
I do think that Ion's possible move might be devastating for you tho.

Well I think Zandio will be out the door anyway so one in one out I still think it's highly unlikely all these Basque riders are going to Sky, it just doesn't make any sense

No way that is happening, TVG has a good deal at BMC and to me he looks happy. Trek need a Tour GC guy as it would be good for the sponsor and Mollema isn't that guy but they ain't signing TVG just yet.

If the idiots at BMC would send TVG to the tour of California he could win it every year.
He is riding well and improving. Him leaving BMC seems crazy from both sides. |

But the Theuns news is about a month old, and already mentioned in this thread as well. Best thing to do: Present rumour/confirmed signing, preferably with sources if it's a rumour, and people will either discuss it or just let it be.

So Landa to Sky..not bad at the end.
After Porte is out he can be leader for Giro (way before Köning or other british comet)..then work he's ass pff at the Tour for Froome
..great salary.
He had no future at italian team Nibali-Aru. |

Now we need to see if he can back up his Giro performance, there is so much hype around Landa it will be interesting to see if he is a one time wonder or a true GT contender

This either hasn't been mentioned or it got lost in the Landa-to-Team-Sky discussion, but I read that Wallays will sign (has signed?) a two-year deal with Lotto-Soudal. Great news me thinks. I hope they'll sign Stuyven as well.
Also, Sky has taken on two trainees, someone Peters and someone Hart. (Excuse me my ignorance but I'm not really into the British U23 scene...) |

Stuyven already renewed at Trek a couple weeks back.
Wallays is a great get for Lotto. Has already won bigger classics than any of their current riders
