In my opinion Richie Porte deserves 79, because he runs too strong 1 day, and he takes a break during 1 o 2 days, and he does not run 10% all the 21 days.
So if you give 80/81 he can win Giro, Tour or Vuelta, but I think that just now he can`t win, but he can do some very good stages in the Mountain for his leader |

This is exactly why Porte has a terrible REC stat

Wih all this talk about the decending stat, how effective is it really in game?
Do the top descenders just go faster naturally, or do you have to put them on attack or dot to really maximise their ability in this stat?
Also are poor descenders in the game more likely to crash? |

Bad descenders should crash more often, and to maximize the effect, an attack with good descenders is neccesary. But they will also go naturally faster.

Thanks for this.
So if you're controlling Nibali it's a great idea to attack but if you're Pinot it's best to be as careful as possible.
Also would a bad descender like Pinot be better, if he had a teammate protecting him down the descent? |

Gesink was on 77mtn, I thought he might be worth 79 mtn after his performance in the Pyranees but since then he seems to be just holding on. So maybe I'm now thinking 78 mtn, thoughts? |

Seems fine for me. Or maybe 79 with a lower REC stat of about 76-77 |

I think protecting someone helps always.

Looking forward to see Gesink restored to his 2010/2009 climbing levels and the ridicolous potential 5 can be dropped as well |

Too low. Look at the gap between Gesink and then the rest below him. He's actually not far off Valverde and Contador and today even paced that group when Valv and Contador blew themselves trying to follow Froome.
He's the best after Quintana, Valverde, Froome, Contador and Nibali, while beating Contador, Nibali and Valverde on 1 stage, and keeping par with Valverde and Contador on other stages and losing in 1 or 2 stages. But still the best behind them.
He should be 79/80 MO and 77/78 REC |

I think 78 is fine. He obviously wasn't expected to be this good, but it's not like the gap he has to the tohers is that great. Pretty much allt he contenders expected to be well above him have had problems, and I've already been told that some of the current 78/79 guys will be moved down. Taking that into account, and the other guys around him already being lower if he is at 78, I don't see the problem with 78 mtn, 77 recovery. At most 79 mtn, no way 80.
With 78 mtn, I do think he should get higher resistance though, as that seems to be something he's excelled in.

78 is horse shit and you know it. He is 6th, 1 minute behind Contador and the rest that are ahead of him are all GT winners. It's arguably the strongest top 5 of the TDF in 10 years. And then the nr 6 who's only 1 minute behind the 5th should get 78 mo. Lol
I might be chauvinistic but that is just off. It's a stronger performance than Peraud's 2nd last year |

I kind of agree with the 79 for Gesink based on this and if he maintains this type of form tomorrow he's got a strong case for it. 78 though is not bad especially if his rec is also good but I'm edging to 79 considering anyway that the game seems to have a whole load of riders on 78 anyway. |

Reminds me of the old pointless discussions I had on Gesink before I was a stat maker. Looks like I can finally fulfill my dream and put Gesink on 79MO now.
Does seem to deserve it yes, especially considering his low ACC will not help him in game at all. Curious how he'll do at Huez stage.

Well there's at least a dozen or so guys on 78 mtn anyway so maybe 79 is good.
Also what do you guys think of Bardet 79 or 80? |

Froome on Alpe d'Huez = Contador on Sestriere.
So, wanna downgrade Froome in REC and MO, that Quintana would be better than Brition ? |
