Bjarne Riis showing once again he is a total D-bag on danish tele, smashing the team time and time again. Seems like he just don't want to realize Froome is just better and Contador isnt better than 3rd, at the very best. |

Quintana go home you are drunk and are never going to win a Grand Tour when froome is there.
I wonder whats been going on between Valverde/moviestar and Contador, they really do not seem to like each other.
What? So Quintana should try? Also Valverde and Contador have never got along

Really saving Giant's Tour after the Kittel disappointment and Degenkolb looking a little short as a stand in (no criticism of Deg intended the guys been at it since spring and delivered big there already).

The reason Contador's crash is that Rogers and Contador ran into each other |

No, they said that Contador and Rogers crashed into eachother.
Quintana thinks he can win the Tour by attacking Froome in the last 3 kilometers.. Seriously?

That's not what was said.
Contador collided with Rogers, and they both crashed. Some Danish fans were 10 metres from the incident. |

He is right in his critique of the team today, though. It seemed like they had at plan, but they never went for it. And not having Majka drop back is just plain foolish.
Even if they wanted to challenge for 3rd, their tactics today were bad. |

Not sure what you wanted to say there.... Quintana should of course try but he is still a incredibly dumb rider when it comes to race-strategy.
And ya i know Valverde and Contador never have been friends, but this kind of hatred between them is not something i recall. Driving the stake in when he crashes when he isent really a threat and moviestar using their team to ride him in when he attacked, instead of using it to attack Froome. |

Well we go to Friday. Not sure tomorrows stage is GC type stage really.
The tactical battle there won by Sky I felt - Porte was quite useful for Froome and Thomas. Herrada maybe was some use for Valverde and Quintana. Erm Rogers and Contador seemingly crashed into each other...
Geschke did brilliant attack - again as we saw in Gap better to take a lone punt when you are not perhaps the strongest climber around. Talanskiy great decent, he can try again on La Troussiere I guess.

The only thing imo was to pull Majka back, and even then, what would you gain? 10-20 seconds? When Contador isnt better, there simply isnt much to do - they had 3 riders in the break which is fine if something happens and Majka had the opportunity to chase the victory.
Im just getting sick and tired of him.. its so obvious he want to be there so badly and just bashes them at every given opportunity which is pathetic, I had expected more from Bjarne. Just seems like a poor old man in that studio. |

Dude, you are on deep water right now. Try to understand that Quintana just couldnt drop Froome - its just that simple. Do you seriously think they wouldnt go faster if they was able to? Thats just a stupid comment, man. |

Game over. Froome has won. Quintana dumb second, Valverde unfairly won third. Hope Movistar are happy now with 2-3. The only thing that would now make the Tour good now is all of them crashing or at least abandoning, they would deserve it. |

I don't think Quintana is dumb, he can't drop Froome yet and I doubt he will this Tour as Froome looks better than 2013 but it doesn't make him a dumb rider. I was responding to the fact you said he should go home as he will never beat Froome, he is obviously trying so I didn't and still don't understand why you wrote that.

Bjarne Riis is right and who knows if it would have been 10-20 seconds or more? Contador alone against Contador and Majka is a obvious choice, of course Majka should have pulled back and waited and giving it everything to minimize the time lost to the other top guys.
But i am not surprised, after Riis left Saxobank its been chaos and if you look back to the Giro, its clear that there are lacking a clear strategy other than just counting on Contador to do it all himself.
But dont worry, Riis will be back if not next year, the year after and hopefully the year after with a new strong team. |

What?
I simply just prefer GC-riders winning mountain stages, its that simple. Its more fun for me, always has been and always will be, regardless of who is in the break and who is in the pack. |
