Ah Giant - Alpecin, long day ahead for you lot since you've missed the breakaway. If they're lucky and keep the time gap reasonable they might get some help much later.
They did stop chasing at one point but obviously team management decided they can't throw away an opportunity so lightly.

Etixx and Cofidis are both likely to help Giant chase them back. Maybe even Tossato or Valgren aswell.

Meh, thats a relatively weak break...
Hoping for Giant here and maybe, maybe a random Tinkoff rider to join? |

Peter Sagan getting a little argy-bargy with Andre Greipel at the intermediate sprint. Doesn't stop the Gorilla from taking out the sprint from the peloton, with John Degenkolb and Mark Cavendish helping move the German back in to the virtual lead for now.

Time for MTN, Cofidis and Etixx to send one or two guys to help Giant. |

Lil bit of a crosswind now as they ride through the exposed farmland. Tinkoff - Saxo going to keep on the lookout and ride at the front of the pack.
Some unexpected help for Giant - Alpecin? Or they've decided to support Sagan.

Is the best they can do with all this new GPS tech is to show us current speeds of the break and peloton...on completely different terrain so it's totally meaningless.
How about comparing like for like sections of road and how quickly each group rode it or the top descending times on some of the longer descents of the last few days to see how much Barguil pulled back or whether the Gruppetto flew down to make up some time.
Even top speeds would provide passing interest etc. etc... |
