Can we like plus one posts now? Or declare that the person who zabl'd your plus 1 post with their plus 1 post has a nice idea? I need to plus 1 shonak's post now, but liking it would prove that so now I should zabel it?
I need some time to work this out. Great idea though!
Spoiler Think it's a.. nice idea. Pretty much everything covered with the 5 choices, though not sure if "Nice idea", as mentioned, is worth it. I.. like that the forum is taking new steps. Maybe I end up seriously.. disliking the dislike button though, who knows. Glad I didn't get... zabel'd.
Thanks guys!
+1 (sorry I couldn't resist).

One button I'm missing, though, is the +1 button. That would be more interesting than 'thanks' in my opinion because those +1 posts really don't contribute anything except to say that they think the same.
So a +1 button would stop those posts and free up some space in the threads
Aren't "Agree" and "+1" very equivalent statements?
EDIT: Oh, sorry, we didn't go with "Agree" for the tests. It was one of the possibilities discussed by the admins.

Thanks people. I like it. It's a good idea (three ratings).

Haha, I'm just disliking your post for the honour it brings to you! Glory to Mars!

One problem right now: If you edit your post, ratings are still there. So if I make a post saying "AaB-ern is the worst admin ever" and it gets lot of likes, I would just change it to "AaB-ern is the greatest admin ever".
But I guess we have to trust people a bit on that. Who would ever edit their post to make the exact opposite statement? |

I'd still say that the thumbs up is a +1 equivalent. It might have 'Like it' as it's current text prompt, but it covers an option such as 'Agree' as well.

Sad to see the Zabel'd function overused though. It's been used all around when there are no Zabels appearing |

For some people (mostly me), this thread has just become a way to do something to whichever post says something is overused.

The interesting thing about that is that it's up to the community determine and balance the use of the buttons. |

What? Zabel'd is like THE function that makes all this so much fun because it's so random! We have to make the most of it until they take it away from us again. I will use it without remorse!

I'm a little worried that with the implementation of this system (and the likes etc. being displayed on users profiles), the site might become like Facebook or reddit, in the sense that discussion will be overlooked in the hope of accumulating the most likes on your profile or posts.

you can only get Zabel'd if your Zabel'd post is already there anyway. So if you haven't posted, you weren't Zabel'd, it was just "like it" in reality.

Keep in mind, that's what I've been trying to do for years, and it hasn't really paid off.
I want to make a suggestion for one more widget; the "Zubeldia'd". The perfect responce for when the major "posters" actively engage in a discussion attempting to solve a prolem, but out of nowhere some random and anonymous user comes up with a great opinion or sollution to the problem.
Or perhaps the "Rojas'd"; when you try, and try and try to help out and make suggetions on how to improve something, but someone elses ideas are always chosen instead.

I didn't even know that but it does give me a question. on mi profili it gives my a zabel but when I go to look at it it doesn't have a rating but the post after it does have a zabel (and it's a true zabel )
now I'm assuming that a zabel on a person's profile goes to the person that posted before the post with the zabel rating but can anyone conform this?
I can also not rate the zabel'd post but I can rate my own?

That's weird. The Zabel'd should show up on Strydz' profile, not yours. It's as if the system thinks that Strydz' post is actually yours, and vice versa.
