Froome was better than Quintana in 13 early on so i do not think it is way too good. I mean look at Nibali and Contador losing to pathetic riders. Look at Gesink 1 30 that is a great rider.
What do you call a "pathetic" rider? Because these guys are all pretty damn good
Oh know i don't mean pathetic as in rider but climbing Gallpoiin beat him today. |

Didn't expect Contador to be dropped so early. Anyway Kudos to him to try and win Giro and Tour in one year.
Wish more GC riders would do it. |

Martin and Talansky just arrived. I had expected much more from Martin, but Talansky once again proves he is severely overrated.
Expected timeloss for Contador when they decided to race it like this. Quintana on par, Valv a little more than expected, Froome was just a god today. This was what happened in 2013, Quintana was over 5 minutes behind at that point, only 3 now. Only rider who stands a chance. Also Gesink, what a performance!
It looked like Martin was waiting for Talansky early on.
If thats the case, no way in hell he shoulda done that. Talansky showed on the two Murs that he is worth nothing |

If you guys honestly believe that Sky are doping and absolutely none of the other contenders (TJ, Quintana, Contador, Nibali etc.) are then you're crazy.
the problem isn't that they use doping cause many have done that in the past. the problem is mostly that they are so dominant in the race. we've had 15km to uphill racing and the tour is basically already decided. 10th place may in the end have over and hour time back.
I would like to request a moment of silence for the brave commentators that need to stay as neutral/possitive as always

He hasn't looked good upto today so today just confirmed he isn't in top condition, but in saying this the rest day always throws up odd performances the day after so I think it explains why some riders were so poor and others like Thomas, Gallopin, Gesink were strong. Things will change with the next mountain stages
Normally, I would agree with you. But, Nibali and Contador have been anything but impressive so far so I doubt it was just the rest day.

I told you dance in place..but I act nicely. It is damn hard to win Giro and TdF at the same year..
This will stay at 90's ..and beginning. Pantani 1998 was lucky..
What we wanted to do Conta was impossible.
BUT Froom them so blurry ALL is doubtful. |

Good point. When Froome attacked, I stopped watching, only hearing commentators. At least Armstrong was exciting, when Froome and Skybots are boring.
Lance had his own boring as hell mountain train, he also won his stages and Tours by massive margins so outside of Froome looking awkward on a bike there really isn't much difference.

Well Talansky has never been a good puncheur and Martin was out of Gc, but yeah. Stupid move.

6.1 W/Kg for Froome
5.9 W/kg for Quintana
Sort of expected these types of results, because it was the first real climbing stage of the tour, it was a rest day yesterday, and there was only one climb today.
Was Froome really so much better than everyone else, or did the poor performances of Contador and Nibali inflate our suspicions of Froome? |

This reminds of how defensive the first mountain stage of the tour used to be. Then, Sky happened.
And the consensus on this forum is that it was much better which I couldnt disagree on more. I enjoyed US Postal tear the mountain stages apart instead of those Evans, Menchov, Leipheimer and to some extend Contador/Schleck-eras. As well as Ax-3, I quite enjoyed this. |

I guess, we all know all GC contenders are doping, but hey, Contador, Quintana or TVG aren't "shameless" as Skybots. Today stage was awful. I may hate Froome, but when he won in nice style, it was okay and congratulations for him. But today... Stages like that is killing cycling. |

After looking at what happened today it might work out to be a good move for Martin to ride the climb with Talanksy, he is now so far down on the GC that he can go out and get in breaks without the peloton chasing. No point wasting energy trying to match the pace Movistar the Sky set on that climb when he would of finished minutes down anyway

Well fuck a duck! It's over again.
Worst moment in my opinion was E3 winner Geraint Thomas bringing back Valverde. At least he had the decency not to pass him at the finish line.
To end on some positive notes, great ride by Gesink and good to see one of them Yates have a good ride as well.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

6.1 W/kg isn't alien, once it gets over 6.2- 6.4 w/kg over a sustained period is when it is truly mutant
