EPIC - Season 2 Part 1

They win everywhere Shock
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

It's all going according to plan in Qatar, though the stage win seems long gone.

But I'm not even going to talk about TDU, Stefan Denifl where were you?
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

TDU not going very well Wink

Luis Leon Sanchez
Very disappointing from Pierre in that TT.
Another average TDU stage.

@TDU: I could definitely be less pleased, but WHAT THE FUCK are Evans, Birt and Clarke doing!? I mean I sent a strong GC team for a reason! I bet they'll just all come out on Willunga and Gerrans will stay in the pack Rolling Eyes

@Qatar: Not bad, but in retrospect I definitely should've brought Durbridge. Thought it was a TTT Rolling Eyes

Sad Come on Pierre!

At least I got a mention of one of my riders, I have to wait until Qatar for that. Pfft

Will the Tour of Quinghai Lake have the same route as last year?
I'm just asking because I neither own PCM 14 nor do I have a 14 db installed.

Most likely. I only got the 2013 route. Unless there is a 2014 version somewhere. Wink

Thanks, good to know. Smile

first bad stage for you Pfft

@Luigi: Yeah, but still. I had 2 Tour winning chances with my EPIC riders, and 2 stage win chances. And both failed at their finest. Also my OPQS team failed pretty much.

Stage 4 is another one which is called flat, but as all other stages it's not really easy. A few kilometers before the end we find a small hill, which might disrupt the sprint.

Our break today is quite a bit larger than earlier, as the following 8 riders manage to make it: Elmiger (IAM), R. Garcia (Euskaltel), Sénéchal (Europcar), Parisien (Giant), Dennis (Omega Pharma), Mohoric (Astana), Hermans (Trek) and Feunard (CCC). At 3m10 Dennis is the highest in the GC.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/EPIC%20Reports/PCM0087.png

Feunard is the only interested in the first sprint, and he easily takes the points there.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/EPIC%20Reports/PCM0088.png

The break has had a max lead of 6m17, but at the 2nd KoM, 50km from the line, it's down to 4m. Feunard takes the win at this summit and with that he also regains the lead in the KoM classification.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/EPIC%20Reports/PCM0089.png

At the second intermediate, 31km from the line, the break holds 2m45 lead. Dennis wins the sprint ahead of Mohoric and Feunard.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/EPIC%20Reports/PCM0090.png

A group of about 30 is dropped with 20km to go. Maes and Ewan are the main victims.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/EPIC%20Reports/PCM0091.png

With 15km to go the break holds 1m20. This could get close.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/EPIC%20Reports/PCM0092.png

With 10km to go this has hardly changed, as the 8 have 1m18 left. This could be theirs.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/EPIC%20Reports/PCM0093.png

Sky however now decides to use Weschenbach, who's already down to 18th in the GC, for the chase in support of Cav. The lead goes down quickly.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/EPIC%20Reports/PCM0094.png

With 5km to go the lead for the escapees is still 50s. The pack is coming closer, but the break now also has its attacks. It's too early to say what it causes though.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/EPIC%20Reports/PCM0095.png

Parisien gets a gap! He escaped from the break and now is away. The question is whether he can hang on for 3.5km.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/EPIC%20Reports/PCM0096.png

Lotto sets up the sprint train in the pack for Greipel. Only Hanzen and Guardini can follow this.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/EPIC%20Reports/PCM0097.png

At the short hill the second group accelerates. Feunard is dropped, while also Dennis is in trouble.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/EPIC%20Reports/PCM0098.png

In the pack Sky and Movistar come forward as well, for Cavendish and Calzone.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/EPIC%20Reports/PCM0099.png

With just 1.2km to go Parisien collapses, and now the sprint from the rest starts. Hermans, Senechal and Elmiger seem strongest.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/EPIC%20Reports/PCM0100.png

Parisien still leads with 1km to go, but Senechal and moreover Mohoric seem to catch him.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/EPIC%20Reports/PCM0101.png

In the pack, far behind, Greipel has also gone with 1.7km to go, followed by Hanzen. They manage to catch Feunard.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/EPIC%20Reports/PCM0102.png

Mohoric, Senechal and Parisien will fight it out for the stage win though.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/EPIC%20Reports/PCM0103.png

And it's Mohoric who wins! Senechal comes 2nd, Parisien comes 3rd.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/EPIC%20Reports/PCM0104.png

Hanzen wins the pack sprint, ahead of Greipel.

Poor Feunard Sad

Does Belkin actually try to do something with their sprinters?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Not bad for Hanzen, avoids any potential GC losses and picks up a few extra Points, getting close to Krisoff now. FDJ avoided issues but Plusvite nowhere to be seen, needs some work. Shame to see Krista in last place, guess the negative stats for being a girl are doing their thing.

Good stage for Cannondale, all bonification seconds gone. Now Villella just has to hang on on Willunga Hill. Smile

And again we could not deliver Calzone a mass sprint. Perhaps some teams should send stronger support if they have the top sprinters in a race. Sad

Damn. Really not a good stage for the boys, but no time losses. Hopefully Gerro can take something on Old Willunga.

Good sprint from Markus, just unfortunate that the break stayed ahead.

Selwink, can you please convert the screenshots to JPG?

Anyway, I'm having trouble with the shirts. I put the shirts in Teams, but they all have the number 13 at the start, such as 13ccc. In game I just get the default PCM jersey for every team except NetApp. Any help?

Thanks Smile
