1) I cannot ride my national championship. Is this because I am too young, or isn't the norwegian championship in the game?
2) The first season I was able to play the World Championships Time Trial. But the last two seasons it has been simulated, without me able to play. Also, I am never selected for the World Championships, even though I am much better than the other racers from Norway. Any suggestions?
Norwegian NC is not in the game, but it is in some databases that are downloadable from this site.

Yes, you can. I recommend Lachi's editor. If you can't open the save with it, make sure the savegame has no spaces in the name.

You have to edit the save game, not the weekly backups.

think something really stranged happened in the patches.
i'm in my 3rd season now after patch, and have had already 5 injuries this season, outside of races (training). It's really annoying because i'm missing half the season

After reading through this thread I'm considering getting myself PCM 15 just for Be A Pro Mode.
A question though: My goal would be to create a rider in the vein of Fabian Cancellara - so good at time trialing, able to perform at the Cobbled Classics and with enough power to steal the odd late solo breakaway win. Which of the base styles would best suit this sort of rider build?

Northern Classics is probably the best, mostly because if you start with a high cobblestone rating at the beginning of the career, you can win first/second season races with your rider, so I have found, like P-R Espoirs etc. Don't forget to change your training axis to TT though!

That would be in the progression tab of the training screen, no ?
The "main" training screen shows your form/... evolution for the month with a graphic, and you can set your training intensity.
Then there's a progression tab where you can see how your stats have increased over time, and you should have a yellow button indicating your training axis, and its probable effects on your stats (0-3 up green arrows)
However, I've read somewhere that it apparently has a delay between one setting a specific training axis, and the relevant stats actually increasing.
IE I'm in september in my first season with my GC rider, I began training GC, then switched to Climb aroud april because I found myself a bit short (and not having real stage races to do). Then around end of june I switched to baroudeur because I ended up tiring more quickly on flats (30 last km) than on climbs.
Now in september, my last lvlup increased flat a bit, as well as resistance, but I still got climb/TT increase.
Maybe it's linked to what the rider actually accomplishes (I had great climb & TT results during that time)

Just into my 3rd season with my Pro now. Set him up as a Puncher and as a result of the issues pre-patch, his acceleration shot up to 80 as a 20y/o! Leveling has, uh, leveled off now and it does take a decent amount of time to get through each level. About 1/4 of the way through L19.
Started with the AG2R Dev squad then signed 2 years with Bora-Argon 18. They went World Tour in 2nd season but have dropped back down to Pro-Conti for season 3. This is an issue as we probably won't get WT invites. In fact, we've just been rejected to the Tour Down Under completing screwing my training regime!
Really enjoying this mode though; haven't touched Career at all yet!

It's more to do with the fact you have more levels to go up there e.g. your 74 mountain with 85 limit baradeour gives you one upwards arrow where you may be 65 flat with 67 limit and the 3 upwards arrows the game may take this into account and develop flat more slowly

I also assume that it has something to do with the trainers that your team has.
I have seen in the editor that my rider was linked to a coach. So maybe the coach quality is also taken into account, meaning you should get better progression when you are in a team with good trainers.

The amount of times I finish 11th or 12th is ridiculous. Almost every second stage I'm either 11th or 12th.

What a coincidence.
I have a 22 year old puncher, type Gilbert.
Last year, first two WT classics:
Gent - Wevelgem: 11th
Flèche Wallonne: 11th
This year, first time doing all the Ardennes classics:
Amstel: 12th
Flèche: 11th
Liège: 11th
Grrrr!
