@Ruben
You start nearly at the end of a level, so you'll progress a level almost in your first month, so it won't stay at that rate
That said you could also start training sprint for instance, so you could become a Gerrans type

Ima northern classics rider, training as a puncheur which gives me quite nice stats as a 20 year old in early april
I have a 72 cobble, 69 hill, 67 sprint which allowed me to win the u23 ronde quite easily

Fantastic.
That's my first impression.
Started with GC stats but changed training to climber, puncher, time trialist and baroudeur in that order, because I wasn't happy with my ACC and FL stat, made it hard to get in the breakaway.
Amazing mode, really. Some minor bugs or problems but nothing real so far.
Had an amazing fight for the KoM in one race. Love the fact that you're really close to your rider and his palmares and also in the race. You do'nt have to care about anything else in this mode. Season goes fast, too.
Progression is pretty good on my end, but that's probably because I'm trying to make him a decent all-rounder, with both flat, climb, punch, tt, acc, stamina... I can imagine that your main stat is real high soon if you stay with one training type.
Love it so far!

Has anyone nailed down how to advance stats faster on this mode?

Wow, in March? I´m really slow comparing with you!
I´m really surprised with this Pro Mode...fantastic! The growth of stats probably depends of dificulty selection? I also take a 19 years old rider and if it takes easy 75 in any stat...too fast!
The people who have progress a lot, can you tell us which goals give you more progression? I have +25kms in breakaway, +50kms and finish one stage (the easy ones)

You get points for winning a continental jersey and completing stage races in various positions. Go for the mountains jersey in a stage race since that is probably the easiest one (unless you picked sprinter.)

Read this thread and now I'm definitely getting it this weekend. I just want to play as every type of rider.

it helps also to do a lot of things for easy xp. Go into a long break. Try to win mt jersey.. And anyone with PCM experience can win easily in some of those lesser fields.
I don't mind though. You can be a new sagan like entry at 20 years old this way. That would be impossible with old PCM.

Haha okay, you're probably right then
But who says you have to train him on his main stat, there's plenty of room(regarding limits) to train on other stats as well actually, did some experiments with that

I'm training him on cobbles actually, so not on his main stat at all

If you're the designated leader in a race, do your team mates come and sit in front of you? Or just abandon you and leave you out in the open?

They will come to you. I had this in my 2nd test actually already.
But it depends on profile of the stage and how strong you are in comparison to your team mates.

Created a german cyclist regarding stage-races riding for Team Stölting.
Mountain, hill and prologue at 71 and time-trial at 72. Lots of fun so far.
Got my first stage win at Istrian Tour and grabbed the points jersey too. Not because my sprint stats are that nice but I was in a breakaway on the last stage and had most energy for the finish Not to forget 2nd place in the prologue of Istrian Tour.

Anyone playing as a sprinter? Is your team creating a lead out train? My team seems to organize at the front around 15-10km but never actually push on into a lead out train. Quite enjoying the game but am getting frustrated at not having my own train to give me a chance to get a win

Probably depends of your quality.
Of course you can only get a leadout train if you're a stage favourite.
Otherwise I wouldn't know

I'm the team sprinter but aren't a stage favourite i don't think. It's very frustrating being positioned well and then losing a well for no reason at all.

Well, if you're not a favourite it makes sense, doesn't it?
Just like real life you'd just have to find the best wheel.

Just had an absolutely sick Piccolo Lombardia
I landed in the E5 after I had to get drinks myself in the finale. However, I was top favorite and I peaked for this race.. so I didn't panick. With own effort 65/70% I rode on, and on the final climb I caught the 6 leaders.. attacked, and won solo..
Sounds easy, but I was amazed, I was so far behind after the peloton split at the wrong time (flat part before climb), peloton was going full all the time.. still caught all of them
It was also great to see the AI. Everytime I caught a teammate they would start riding immediately and try and bring me back. I followed them until empty and then again own pace. Worked perfectly

So as i told you, worldbeater in 2 seasons, like every other be a pro mode to avoid crying on the internet that my guy sucks. If you dont slow the development on purpose ofc
But why you would do that.
Cant wait to start and try the game today, i only picked it up from post office but lacked time to even install.Despite some small problems, the mode sounds real fun.
