Good work.
It would be nice, if you could share how to use the heightmaps work. The one time I tried them out, I failed. I got the height map in editor, put it was nowhere near useable.

Yep, I plan to do a guide - when I find the time to. It's inevitable that you do need to do some work to turn what the heightmaps give into something usable though.

Not the Rio RR just yet, but I do have another RR ready to go.
2004, Athens
The main climb of the course is through Lycabettus Park, but the route also passes by the Acropolis, which I have had a go at recreating for a bit of fun!
The download includes two 'Ruin D' files which will need to be added to "3D\Landscapes\IsolatedObjects\Castles" in order for the Acropolis to show up. These were included in PCM14, but not PCM15 for some reason.

I'm looking forward to the Rio Road Race, but there's a problem. I presume the course will be a mountain stage, and therefore you'll need riders like Rodriguez, Nibali and Robert Gesink for instance, to play a significant role.
But when I start a WC, riders apparently are chosen by their cobble/Flanders stats, so the best climbers don't show up. Every single race, the same riders represent their countries.
Is there a possibilty to create a start list or something like that?

The Beijing TT link is the same as the one to the London Road Race.

Fixed.
I am aware of the cobbles, but have opted to make them a dirt road. They don't look like the hardest of cobbles, and I would rather not risk them affecting gameplay - since they will not have any affect on the race outcome in reality. Plus, it is on the TT course, and you can't have cobbled TTs in career mode.

Here we are then:
2016, Rio de Janeiro
I've set it as a hill rated stage, with a 0.4 H/M rating.
It's not entirely clear how many laps of each circuit the race will include next year. The UCI text description of the route suggests 4 of the early circuit and 3 of the harder circuit - yet the profile image included with that description shows 3 of the early circuit and 4 of the harder circuit. So I've gone for 4 of each.
wielerliefhebbert is correct that there is an issue that the World Championships in PCM15 seem to pick cobbled squads, if you were to play this as a Worlds variant in the single race mode. I don't think there's a way to create a startlist for the World Champs though.
I have also made the test event 1.2 race, Aquece Rio - International Road Cycling Challenge, incase anyone wants to use it in a 2015 database.

What a nice surprise SN,
the Aquece Rio race even works 100% in pcm14.
Which still makes me wonder what's the key problem with stages NOT working?
thanks mate

You can make cobbles but make them only 1 star, so they don't affct the gameplay

Read UCI:
Include laps of the Grumari Circuit (one lap for women and four laps for men); the circuit includes two climbs: Grumari, a narrow climb and descent in a forested area which averages 7% over 1.2km with a maximum gradient of 13% and the Grota Funda climb which averages 4.5% over 2.1km with a maximum gradient of 6%; the circuit also includes a cobble stone section of 2km;
Include laps of the Canoas/Vista Chinesa Circuit (one for women and three for men); the circuit starts with Canoas climb continuing with Vista Chinesa climb over 8.9km uphill followed by a technical descent of 6km.
Three laps for the last circuit..
Nice project anyway!

There are 2 race profiles going around the internet:

To stray from the Olympic theme:
Croatia - Slovenia, 2015 (1.2) /
A few years ago I made the Zagreb - Ljubljana classic (often put in DBs as Ljubljana - Zagreb). It's now known more plainly as the Croatia - Slovenia classic, and took place yesterday. The finish is now in Novo Mesto, and as it uses much of the same roads as the previous version I made, I've thrown together the 2015 route.
