We've slipped from 2nd to 4th but we are still in touch with the leaders.

How are Finland doing so badly? I has them down as outsiders as it's different but in a cool way.

Ewan, we waited a while for these results, are you sure they're correct?

Guatemala is way too low and Norway and Netherlands are in the top three.

30 points in this day - twice the amount of points from yesterday and with even better results tomorow Bulgaria could win it. Realistically IMO the battle for the win will be a four way between Norway, Belgium, Netherlands and Australia

I have a feeling that Norway and Netherlands will both be screwed over by the non-qualifiers voting.

Just to brief you, this panel is made up of music professionals who voted on tonight's performances just like any other country would. Their points have created an average, and that has created the amount of points the countries receive. Anyway, let's talk to the man with the envelope, Ban Ki-Moon. Good evening Geneva!

Grand Final Results - Non Qualifier Vote

Silence has set over Mogadishu, because it is now the final part of the voting. This is the new segment to the show where we will be handing out the points awarded by the countries who didn't make it to the final. Firstly let's have a lookk at our current top 3:

1st Belgium 87pts
2nd The Netherlands 84pts
3rd Norway 80pts

Belgium are the finalists' favourites, now let's hear from our non-qualifiers. We have a total of 522 points to dish out. We will do it in reverse order starting from 16th position down to 10th place pretty fast, then we'll take it slow for the top 10. A percentage and a points sum will be shown, then the country will be revealed. Good luck!

Let's start with the countries from 16th place to 11th

16th 2.8% 15pts Scotland

15th 2.8% 15pts Denmark

14th 4% 21pts Australia

13th 4.4% 23pts Netherlands

12th 4.6% 24pts Estonia

11th 5% 26pts Armenia

Let's see what that now does to the leaderboard. Just to remind you, the countries in a lighter colour have already received points.

Spoiler
Rank Country NQ Points Overall Points
1st The Netherlands 23pts 107pts
2nd Australia 21pts 92pts
3rd Belgium 89pts
4th Armenia 26pts 82pts
5th Norway 80pts
6th Sweden 79pts
7th Cyprus 73pts
8th Bulgaria 68pts
9th United States 64pts
10th Scotland 15pts 62pts
11th Canada 56pts
12th Estonia 24pts 53pts
13th Guatemala 41pts
14th Denmark 15pts 39pts
15th England 35pts
16th Finland 30pts

Now we have 10 countries left. The top 10 in the eyes of the non-qualifiers. We've already seen the finalists' 2nd place, The Netherlands receive early points. Who is next? The next 3 nations are all tied, but to break the tie we have used the amount of countries who voted for them as the top decider, then the countries who had them in the highest placing in their own points. So, in 10th place finishing with 5.6% of the vote, equating to 29 points is...

10th 5.6% 29pts

Spoiler
i28.photobucket.com/albums/c236/ewanwilson48/Q8_zpsxdinsefa.png

Congratulations! Now, finishing with the same amount of points is...

13th Canada 56pts
14th Estonia 24pts 53pts
15th Denmark 15pts 39pts
16th Finland 30pts

7 countries are left in the title battle, the highest left is the finalists' favourite, Belgium followed by Sweden. Both can win, but who is finishing in 7th place?

7th 6.4% 33pts

Spoiler
i28.photobucket.com/albums/c236/ewanwilson48/Q2_zpsmvwog4ss.png

That puts Belgium back into the lead. Is that cushion enough to take the contest back to Antwerp? Let's see who is going to finish in 6th. With 36 points and 6.9% of the overall amount, it is...

6th 7.5% 39pts

Spoiler
i28.photobucket.com/albums/c236/ewanwilson48/Q6_zpsumvzbzen.png

Congratulations to the countries left! You are the non-qualifiers 5 favourites! Cyprus, Finland, United States, Sweden and Bulgaria are left on the table. Who is the lucky loser? In 5th place with 7.5% of the non-qualifiers' votes, equating to 39 points, is...

I'm just getting news through that it is enough! WE HAVE A WINNER OF THE 6TH DAILY SONG CONTEST! It is BULGARIA! Congratulations to Poli, commiserations to Cyprus and the other finalists. It is jubilation on the streets of Bulgaria. Whilst we wait for Poli to cross over, let's have a final look at our top 3:

1st Bulgaria 130pts
2nd Cyprus 123pts
3rd Belgium 122pts
3rd Sweden 122pts

Bulgaria emerge the winners of the 6th Daily Song Contest. This is the first victory for them and for Eastern Europe. It is a reversal from Bulgaria's last appearance and head of delegation, ivaneurope's last 2 DSC appearances where he came dead last. Bulgaria are the only country to get 0 points. 'If Love Was A Crime' has also become the 6th highest scoring DSC entry ever with their finishing total of 130 points. It is also a new record for jihardy, who controlled Cyprus who finished in 2nd place, the 2nd best DSC debut after Finland in the Winter 2015 edition. Finland are still the best performing country after the show, thanks to their song 'Ievan Polkka'. Here she is though, Poli Genova!

Congratulations Poli! Firstly, what a rollercoaster ride of emotions, take us through it all.
I can't, honestly I can't. I remember just sitting there throughout the finalists' votes and I thought, we'll get a new best for Bulgaria, that's ok. I was aiming for 5th, we were sailing throught at 7th the whole way through. Then, the non-qualifiers'v votes were crazy. I'd like to thank everybody who picked up their phones and voted for Bulgaria.
What does this mean to Bulgaria, to win the Daily Song Contest?
It means a lot. This is one of the few places where we can be on the main stage with everyone watching us. This doesn't normally happen for Bulgaria, and I'm sure we will put on an amazing show where ever we'll be.
Congratulations Poli, any last words for the DSC tonight?
I love you!

Well, that's it for another season. After 3 shows, the course of a couple weeks, 30 countries have performed on stage for your votes. Only 16 could make it tonight, but of course only one could win. I'd like to thank all the heads of delegations from each cuntry for taking part, the production crew behind the DSC and you at home for watching and voting. This isn't the end, we still have our winner to perform. Please welcome back to the stage to close the Daily Song Contest Summer 2016 edition, Poli Genova from Bulgaria!
