Only me who cant get results from Omloop Het Nieuwsblad? I tried a carieer with Etixx but the stage didnt even get simulated and the results from 2013 were still standing, might work just switching out stage-files like Jesleyh said though but i havent downloaded any stage-packs yet.

Yeas it's the first one, the time trial. But I choose in single player and I can play it and in the career mode when the game is simulating always crash. I don't undestand why

Yep. The game can't simulate cobbled tts.
Wonder where you got the variant because it certainly wasn't mine
As said you could try to replace the stage-files by stage-files of another TT

I have Expansion Daily + Your DB + DLC daily Variants
I guess that will be DLC Variants Pack the bug
I want to uninstall the Variants. If uninstall the game (saving the savegams) I install again (without DLC Variants Pack) my career can be continued???
Thanks a lot Jesleyh!

No need for that. Just locate the buggy stage(go to stage-race mode and see which variant and which stage that is).
Delete that stage(both of its stage files) in your PCM folder, make a copy of the 2 files of another TT and give that copy the same name as the files you deleted.
That should be it.

OK, here it is!
The DB with full results from the 2014 season. I've also fixed some things in dyn_cyclist, like deleting a few retired riders and correcting a couple of roster mistakes.
https://www.mediaf..._V1.61.cdb
Now Jesleyh, in return I want this DB back with a fixed calendar Give me them GT rest days!
Also, there are a few other calendar issues which you can look at. I'm no DB expert, so I don't know if changing race categories will impact anything, like preferred warmup races or objectives etc. If it's safe to do so, then this list of fixes should only take a few minutes to implement:
Spoiler Races which are .HC in the DB but should be .1:
Clasica de Almeria
Tour de Vendee
Giro del Piemonte
Milano - Torino
Races which are .1 in the DB but should be .HC:
G.P. Beghelli
GP di Lugano
GP Nobili Rubinetterie
Classic Impanis - van Petegem
Tour of Utah
Arctic Race of Norway
Rest days in GTs need to be added
Tour of Langkawi is 10 stages in the DB but in 2015 it has been cut to 8.
Tropicale Amissa Bongo is now held in February instead of January.
(Don't know if the last two can be implemented without any bad side effects, but I'm no DB expert. Maybe the game is flexible enough.)
I also have another question relating to variants. This obviously works differently in PCM14 than in PCM09, which was when I puzzled around with them. I notice that at every career start with this DB, the routes which have variants are picked randomly. How can I force the game to use a specific variant at least in the first season? And for later seasons, is a sequence of variants created so that it goes through all before it uses a route for the second time? I'm generally confused at how the variants work (I've done absolutely no research though).
Should I download the variant pack in the download section if I want more variants? Are these variants not included in the 8GB expansion pack v1?

I noticed that you made a simple mistake in the name of a rider for the paris nice 2014 palmares because I see Carlos Betancourt instead of Carlos Betancur and also Joaquin rodriguez instead of Joaquim rodriguez for the volta a catalunya

Yes, they can be implemented easily with now downsides by only editing sta_race and sta_stage. For the race categories, you'll need to edit the correspounding column in sta_race, and if you want to edit the days those races are held, you'll need to open sta_stage. Adding a rest day is actually very easy: if you want a rest day between, say the 15th of may and the 17th of may, you'll just have to edit the stage held on the 16th to 17th and move by a day all the next ones. Same if you want to add 2 rest days ofc.
I also have another question relating to variants. This obviously works differently in PCM14 than in PCM09, which was when I puzzled around with them. I notice that at every career start with this DB, the routes which have variants are picked randomly. How can I force the game to use a specific variant at least in the first season?
If you want to force the game to pick a specific variant, edit in sta_race the current_variant column (one of the last ones if not the last one) for that race inputting the name of that variant (v1_emmea for example) and to the same for all the stages of that race in sta_stage (column is still called current_variant).
And for later seasons, is a sequence of variants created so that it goes through all before it uses a route for the second time?
If your into the 2016 in your career the game will pick the variant of 2016 (if any). If not, it will pick the first one alphabetically (for example if you have 3 variants, 1 called 2015 (but it was already picked), one called v2 and the other v3 the game will pick v2 for 2016 and v3 for 2017.
Should I download the variant pack in the download section if I want more variants? Are these variants not included in the 8GB expansion pack v1?
The ASO variants pack includes a lot more variants (something like 15 for the TDF and 10 for Giro and Vuelta and many more) but there might be some variants that are named in a different way but are the same route as those included in the EP (and that's a waste of space). So if you downloaded the EP V1 and V2, and want more variants, yes my advice would be downloading the 3GB Variants Pack that includes some more variants.

Thanks for the huge effort there, Squire
I'll release a V1.7 shortly.
Although some of those(Torino, Piemonte) are actually correct in the .cdb, according to PCS.

Jesley, I think would be better in Hills: Contador and Quintana 1 points less, so Contador 78 and Quintana 77

Nah, Contador deserves 79 for sure, if Nibali is on 79 he deserves the same even though he doesn't take part in the Ardennes. He's proved multiple times that he's quite good on the very tough slopes. Not completely sure about Quintana, but 77 would be far too low imo, just leave those as they are for the moment. There would be too much of a difference between his mo and hill stat and it doesn't look fair to me.

In my game they show up with the correct spelling everywhere. Where in your game do you see those names? What it says in dyn_palmares_cyclist doesn't matter as long as they are linked with the id_cyclist number.

Thanks for the huge reply! But this doesn't explain why the variants for the first season are randomly selected? Doesn't the game care about the alphabet for the first season?
And about the downloads, it seems like the ASO pack has all the variants of the 2010-2013 pack and tons of others. ASO it is, then!
So with the ASO variants, I don't have to edit anything to "add" the variants to the game, like in 2009? And with f.ex. two Amstel versions, will it alternate between the two? Not sure if I want variants for the Ardennes. My guess is that the most recent stages are better made when it comes to races like that with only tiny route variations.

I'll leave that to Jesleyh Does this mean that the game is a lot more adaptable now compared to earlier versions? I remember in 2009/10 that you couldn't switch dates of the biggest races, as that would fuck up different pre-set rider schedules. Can you actually have the Vuelta in April now, just as an example?

No problem!
About Torino and Piemonte, I thought CQranking had it nailed. That was my source. If more reliable sources say otherwise, then I'm obviously wrong.

I'm not sure about it, never happen ed to me tbh. It coukd be that the game misses the 2015 variant and picks a random one, that is the only explanation because otherwise, if the game has got the right variant for the right year then that will be the one picked.[/quote]

Yes indeed, if that's a variant you'll have nothing to edit and the game will always alternate the routes (if you don't edit the save ofc). The lattee stages are not necessarily the best made, but if theyre included in such an important pack they must be quality enough

Not sure why you couldn't with the past versions of the game but you definitely can now Just don't do that in an ongoung career, do that before you start it to avoid fuck-ups.

This could be a job for Jesleyh, if he has time. If the 2015 route has not been made, I recommend finding a variant that sort of resembles the 2015 route and putting it as a set route for the first year. F.ex. the 2013 version of Paris - Nice is pretty similar to the 2015 one. The randomizing for 2015 is quite annoying.

I guess I'll just delete the variants I don't want then, and look for similar ones with different names, if I can find them. I miss having the control of PCM09, where you had to put the variants for each year in a very simple .txt file. Then I could have one or two Cauberg finishes mixed in with a lot of beyond Cauberg finishes, as an alternating finish to Amstel every year would be sort of boring and repetitive.
Edit: Oh, I just realised I can copy the Amstel routes and rename them 2016, 2017 etc. That would be the complicated 2014 version of putting them in a .txt document, wouldn't it?
And by the way, are you involved in the PCMdaily DB crew? If anyone wants to know what exactly has been done about the palmares tables (teams for 2014 for some obscure riders without any results are lacking), then just pm me.

Another suggestions:
Kevin Reza 1 sprint point less. I think that with 74 its ok
And Michael Valgren, I think he deservers more flat and 68/69 in Sprints and 75/76 in Acc

And I find 1 mini-bug, when you search young riders in the map, there is 1 country without name between Azerbaiyan and Georgia.
Jesley when do you think that you can finish the 1.7???
If you finish this weekend I can start a new career, if take more time I continue the current one.
Thanks!!
