I liked when you made your News Titles in the quote with spaces
Like:
I would have done mine like that, but I wanted to keep it original for you. And I'm not talking about the Cycling News part. Just some constructive comments, since I think your layouts are the best. Hope you understand.

@ tsmoha: Yep, that's nice indeed. Now I can focus on e.g. cobblers in the next transfer season.
@ valv321: Actually I'm not quite sure what you mean. Just to clarify that:
Do you mean you prefer
that
to this?
Or this
Liquigas extends contacts with Kreuziger, Nibali & co.
to that? Liquigas extends contacts with Kreuziger, Nibali & co.
Anyway, I'm always thankful for constructiv criticism

@ Cunego - The 2nd part (liquigas extends...), with only the quotes. The Cycling News Graphic is nice!
Especially now, as everyone seems to be copying that style.

@ baia: Thank you very much
@ valverde321: Hmm, looking at it I think I agree. So I'll probably do it like that again from now on.
@ mresuperstar: Thanks
Here's Part 1 of the TdU. What do you think about it (length of the stage descriptions, general length etc.)?

January 21, 2012 – Santos Tour Down Under
Firstly held in 1999 and promoted to World Tour in 2005, the Tour Down Under is the first important race of the cycling calendar.
Having been a sprinter's race last year, the puncheurs will have a serious say for the win this time. Already the last hilly kilometers of stage 2 to Sterling provide a first oportunity for non-sprinters to create some smaller time gaps.
The most important stage will be the fifth which traditionally features the Willunga Hill. The particularity is that the Hill won't be passed twice but the stage will end with a summit finish on the top. The climb is pretty short but could cause timegaps nevertheless.
The other stages should be decided in mass sprints but as always, a breakaway success might be possible as well.

As you can see, the favorites consist of both pure puncheurs and hilly sprinters. Both fractions have justified hopes for the overall win.
With Damiano Cunego and last year's runner-up Mauro Finetto, our team supplies two legitimate hopes for the overall win and good placements on every stage. Both have a decent form and are motivated to provide our team a good start into the new season. Unfortunatly, Fabio Sabatini still suffers from his christmas meal and lacks totally of shape, so he won't be of much use as a lead out.
The first stage is characterized by a six men break that was established 50 km into the race. It featured mostly helpers or secondary sprinters like Ignatas Konovalovas (Movistar), our Fabio Sabatini and Damien Gaudin (Europcar). Mostly due to the work of Katusha and Omega Pharma, they are caught with 10 km to go.
A late attack by Roger Hammond fails and the sprint starts. One train is predominant: GreenEdge brings Graeme Brown in a perfect position and Mauro Finetto choses the perfect wheel and follows him. But while Brown makes use of the great team work and grants his team the third win in their third race, Finetto can't hold the speed and finishes only seventh.
GreenEdge is on fire!
1 | Graeme Brown | GreenEdge Cycling | 3h13'02 | 2 | Manuel Cardoso | BMC Racing Team | s.t. | 3 | Theo Bos | Rabobank Cycling Team | s.t. |
The first highlight of stage two was the first mountain sprint of the tour. FDJ's Frédéric Guesdon secures the full 16 points and takes the jersey for the moment. The escapees are caught very early and with 10 km to go, it's Franco Pellizotti (KAT) who opens the showdown for the stage win. 4 km later, Mauro Finetto and Damiano Cunego follow an attack by Jan Bakelandts (OLO).
While Finetto falls back into the peloton, Cunego overtakes Bakelandts and sprints towards Pellizotti. But it's too late – Katusha's new signing saves a couple of seconds over the Italian. The large pack comes in 53 seconds behind today's winner.
Pellizotti and Cunego underline their favorite roles.

On stage three, Cameron Wurf, who was already in the break the day before, wins the mountain sprint and thus overtakes the jersey. The next success for Liquigas here in Australia. Again, though, the break had no chance against the chasing peloton.
Remembering stage one, Finetto again grabs Graeme Brown's wheel. And again, it was a good choice as GreenEdge sets up a nice train. But one train is better: Danilo Hondo brings Petacchi in an almost perfect position. But the Italian makes his move too early and Theo Bos can jump from his wheel to the win.
Graeme Brown finishes third, Finetto is again not able to overtake him but ameliorates his result ending up sixth.
After his third two days ago, it's the win for Theo Bos now.

Great report there and nice result with Cunego on stage two.
Also nice to see Pellizotti winning.

Hmmm.... I think I prefer the old reporting. I feel these may be a little short, and although the writing is terrific as always, maybe a few more screens would be nice. But I guess this isn't Dominik's race so it's understandable that the reports are short.
Anyway, great reports and the presentation is breathtaking as always.

@ Pellizotti2: Battle of usernames in here
@ kitface: Thanks for the feedback. But just to remind you: the "old reporting" was like this so you really can't say this is a little short (at least in comparison to last season) And for sure the Dominik reports will be more detailed!

Oh okay, I thought that all your reports were going to like this. When I was writing I kinda forgot that it wasn't Dom's race so yeah, sorry about that. It's great the way it is!

I like this reporting style. The screens are awesome too. Also, this might be late, because I believe you already raced them, but the 5th stage is considered as being flat, even though it finishes uphill. And the fourth stage is hilly, with a flat profile, are they swapped?

@ kitface: Nothing to excuse for Glad you like it anyway.
@ FreitasPCM: It's also much more fun for me to make the screens compared to PCM09. It all looks so much better! About the stages, I'm infact not sure whether the profile considerations are right or not. Because I raced Stage 4 and it turned out a lot harder than expected, the "hilly" was adequate. So maybe Stage 5 will be easier than I thought, don't know yet.

It's looking really great so far in pcm11! Out of curiosity, did Armstrong retire or is he on a new team?
Oh and your link to this story in your signature isn't working, looks like it's the wrong thread id

Thanks for all the comments. Great to hear that you like it.
@ pcm2009fan: Yep, Armstrong retired. But he wasn't that good anymore anyways. And thanks for the hint with the signature, I will fix that.
Quick question: I think that I'll firstly do the second part of the TdU although chronological, the first two stages of Langkawi would be earlier. The other option would be to shortly interrupt Langkawi after stage 2 for the TdU because I don't want to wait the whole 10 stages... Any opinions on that?

I like keeping the reports in chronological order by date, but I also feel like keeping the stages together it is easier for the readers to follow the action. IMO
