Good to hear that
It was wondering whether you would be interested in making a variant for one of this tours:
- Österreich Rundfahrt ( it'd be great if a summit finish in Serfaus could be included)
- Tour of Turkey ( a shorter version with fewer flat stages and a different queen stage in the mountains)
- Volta ao Algarve
- Giro del Trentino
- Critérium Internationale
- Tour of Oman ( maybe with a TT)
- Tour de Langkawi ( also shorter)
I don't really need one of this, would just be nice to have a variant for any of them. Feel free to choose if interested

Volta ao Algarve Variant
This new variant to the race through southern Portugal follows a similar style to the previous versions, with a short TT, a few hardish sprint stages, and a hilltop finish.
The first stage is a short time trial, a few bumps in there, but in reality it is unlikely to influence GC in any major fashion.
The second stage should be one for the sprinters. However they will have to tackle the Algarve's rolling terrain, not to mention a long, if not steep, hill before the finish. It won't be a race for punchers, but it could be one for the break.
The third stage is similar to the second. Another race between the breakaway and the sprinter's teams, with just enough undulation to keep things interesting.
The final stage is a brutal one, which should be where the race is won. A succession of steep hills cap off what would otherwise be an easy stage. However, the finish is enough for numerous attacks with some gradients not unlike those in the Ardennes.
No screenshots of the gameplay, but it is the general stuff, fields, cities, trees, roads, you know . If anyone would like to post screens or feedback that would be appreciated.

Giro del Trentino
Another real world variant, this race explores the mountains of northern Italy. As one of Italy's biggest stage races, it has a great history, which is continued by this new race, which fits into a similar mould as previous versions.
The first stage is straight into the mountains. However the last climb, hard as it might be, is a long way from the finish line, so it would take a brave rider to attack. It seems more likely the win will be from a breakaway or reduced bunch sprint.
The second stage starts off with a painful long climb, but the rest of the stage is all flat. However, the end of the stage is technical and downhill, possibly mixing things up for the sprint.
The third stage is the first of two summit finishes. The climb is not particularly long, but it is steep, so the chances are it will be decided in the last few kilometres.
This time the Giro del Trentino features a short time trial. Considering the high caliber of climbs in the race, this stage will be deciding between climbers as to who takes home the jersey.
The final stage is the queen stage, with many hard climbs and a summit finish including some steep gradients. Fans can expect some tremendous battles on the slopes!
Just as a heads up, this is probably the last race I will make before Christmas.

Two great stage races, that is very important to the BIG teams to get their squads in order for the more famous races.
Very nice to see some variants that looks very cool.
Thanks mate. and merry XMas to you

Tour of Iceland
Here is my attempt to create a Tour of Iceland, I hope you enjoy. Naturally there are no GPX files for Iceland, so things are not 100% accurate. I tried to search the world for some similar terrain, and use that to create the stages. This means the general direction and profile of each stage is accurate. Another point of note is that I am not an expert with flag codes, hence the pink square. You need to add Iceland to your DB in order to have it in Iceland, although you could just add it to another country should you wish.
The first stage is a time trial through the streets of Reykjavik. It is not a long time trial, but it is not a prologue either. The time made up here could have an impact on the general classification.
Stage 2 is very flat, it goes from Reykjavik to the nearby town of Arborg, so it should definitely end up in a bunch sprint.
Stage 3 is flat again, but there are a few complications in the last few kilometres. They might not decide the stage, but it could be enough to set back a few of the lead out trains.
Most of stage 4 is flat, but the finale is a vicious uphill climb that will be one of the deciding factors in the general classification.
Stage 5 is the second and last summit finish. It is not as hard as the previous stage, but the day as a whole features more climbs, so big attacks can be expected.
The final stage is another flat one. However, there are plenty of climbs on route, so a final dash for the jersey is not to be ruled out. The finish itself is more about brute force than actual speed, with some undulation and wind to blame.
I might upload a PCM14 version of this depending on whether or not I can find someone to convert it.

Sure, I'll get right on it. Unfortunately it is hard to recreate the real beauty of Iceland with the tools available, but I tried to get a sort of rugged, moorland look. The race doesn't go far enough inland to see any big volcanoes or really amazng landscape features anyway, since that is hard to do using roads.

Ciao
Great Work for the Giro del Trentino,
the correct name of the place of arrival of the first stage of the Giro del Trentino is Sanzeno.

Thank you
I will try to post a fix for that stage at about the same time as the Iceland screenshots, which should be tomorrow or in the next few days.

Now that Iceland race was truly a surprise. Who knew they had bike riders on that island. Perhaps they don't.
Cool fantasy stage race indeed.
The pictures should be of the warm springs with you in it sipping a beer mate.
That's relaxing ...

Looks really good, almost getting excited going back to stage editing after watching this I can't wait for it to come at PCM14
Also I have to agree with sutty, that you've made an excellent replica of the real Iceland

Hello the Hobbit
The Icelandic territory is rocky, so quiet with the perennial wind that plagues the 'island, but affects mainly the ground, around the lava, so very difficult that the trees grow there.
Ciao
