Aaand stage 2 in France, ending shortly after a small cobbled climb, goes to - well, as Sagan isn't here - John Degenkolb.
OmegaPharma definately learned from yesterday though, with Stybar on 2 and Pineau on 3. Bouhanni and Mondory complete the Top 5.

Sorry keep doing this but hey, I'm happy. Reinhardt just won again today, the Circuite de Wallonie.

Stybar was truly amazing, what a beast ride. KUDOS to Engoulvent for keeping the lead and almost certain to win the GC.

SUPER impressive performance!
Engoulvent, nearly towed into the finish by Delaplace, stays in the overall lead in front of Stybar and Degenkolb.

Degenkolb reminds me of Erik Zabel - an excellent sprinter.

That's an unfair comparison though. Zabel was just to beast of a sprinter to compare to.

Pelucchi wins the last stage of the 5 Jours de Dunkerque ahead of Degenkolb and then Napolitano. Engoulvent wins the overall.

That as a great sprint today by Pelucchi, considering the conditions

John Degenkolb's winning form continues, although against arguably weaker opposition, in the Tour de Picardie (2.1).
He won the bunch sprint in front of Takashi Miyazawa (Saxo Bank) and Sébastien Chavanel (Europcar), which is logically the current GC as well (I don't know about bonus sprints though).
For further information, the race is featured on www.letour.fr as well.

Degenkolb has a real mean sprint.
I'm happy for Stybar, he's lots better on the road than in the field this year. Maybe he ought to change his priorities to the road, for the future.

He did. This season was his last in cyclocross. He'll do some cyclocross races next year as a prep for road, same as Boom this year.

Rogaland Grand Prix, 1.1:
1) PIEDRA PEREZ Antonio (ESP), Caja Rural 4.36.26
2) CLARKE Simon (AUS), Australia National Team 0.35
3) VANMARCKE Sep (BEL), Garmin - Barracuda
4) GALDOS ALONSO Aitor (ESP), Caja Rural
5) SCHUMACHER Stefan (GER), Christina Watches - Onfone
6) GRAZIATO Massimo (ITA), Lampre - ISD 0.48
7) COLLI Daniele (ITA), Team Type 1 - Sanofi
8) BYSTRØM Sven Erik (NOR), Team Østerhus - Ridley
9) BLIKRA Håvard J. (NOR), Team Østerhus - Ridley
10) CARDOSO Andre Fernando (POR), Caja Rural
Piedra was in the early breakaway, and managed to hold on to the finish line. It was windy, and started to rain near the end, combined with Garmin pushing the pace in the last 60 kilometers meant it became a very tough race. The final circuit, which they did 5 times, included a cobbled climb. Vanmarcke was clearly the strongest of the riders in the peloton, attacking several times, but he was edged by Clarke (racing for a national team from Australia) in the sprint for 2nd.
A great race to watch, especially the new, finishing circuit was nice, a lot better (for spectators) than the circuit they've used in previous years.

Jonas Ahlstrand wins 1st stage of Glava Tour . Petacchi 2nd and EBH 3rd.
EBH lost it as he went too early, with 400m to go, lol
