I'm home! So, going up to Yankee Stadium was pretty cool. My family and I went out on the field in between innings, and I'd say it was a pretty good trip. Minus being in the back seat of a tiny sedan for 4 days.
@jihardy: you'll pass through PA about 30 miles from my house. XD
And why Arkansas? It's kind of awful there.

Talking about post count - I reached 6k's few days ago, but decided to skip the post about it, simply because I am being really, really active last few months, so I expect to pass that number in quite short time (few months). Not that I care that much about it, but it's nice to see that I am slowly coming close to Top 30 and some of the guys in front of me are not even on forum anymore or are extremely passive, which will make it easy.
However, having a job (a serious one, for the first time in my life) won't help me much with that "journey".

I used to care about post count. Then I turned 11 and matured enough to move past that. Just not any further.

Woah, just took one long-ass history trip on pcmdaily.
For some reason I feel the need to share my experience
Things that stand out:
1) Ghost users with 1000s of posts and no activity in years.
2) Funny arguments about "clean" riders who have tested positive years later, or about "random" guys who are now become world-beaters.
It's also weird to see how the layout of stories have changed. Many popular stories in the past had basically no graphics or tables, other than the basic screenshots. Then I looked at jseadog's baseball story, and wow - the graphics and layout is just otherworldly!
I also found the thread that got me hooked on pcmdaily and made me want to write my own stories! Incredibly, it looks like the screenshots are still working and it's a great old-school read.

Well... Sorry for the long, random post haha
Spoiler Edit: I forgot the best bit of the "trip". The sheer hilarity of Waghlon & issoisso's posts. Like every single one of them. I honestly wish I was that funny

I'm confused, I thought that were barely 1,5 years old, seeing youre given birthday. Which means that you actually do care, atleast until 2024
and now Alakagom edits my post saying that we don't like smartasses here on daily like in the ski-jumping thread. Speaking of which, how's the progress on that admir

God, I can't remember worse summer ever weather-wise. While I prefer snow and rain over 40 degrees hot days, I am not able to get out of home now due to huge storms over here and I absolutely hate it. It was even snowing in the middle of May, how crazy is that! Seems like the combination of spring season being a bit extended and autumnn season getting too early gives us the outcome of no summer at all.

Those are the best. I remember in 2010 I think I had the best one. Someone posted videos of their local velodrome getting flooded by rain.
Yeah reading stuff like that is funny and I think a lot of the older users were funny too, the "original" guys that are no longer here.
And stories really have improved. That story you posted was great too. I think I remember reading it before I joined as well.
