I'm back now completely, I even made a story that makes some sense.
Sorry about missing so much.

Yeah, Cornelis finally bouncing back a bit. Though to win the World Cup he'll still need better legs!
Great to see you back, trekbmc, and right on time, too

Well well, look what we have here.
It is the Struibaai Cross!
Last year, there was a storm of protest when it was canceled, but this year, it's on!
I really advice you to click the link 'canceled' in the preview and read from there. The amount of protest from the players is very much worth reading and quite entertaining

Loved that last season. but not as much as the random hate on Cook and Vague that Sylvain started.
Will make a post from Sylvain and Ferdi this morning, maybe Pierre as well if O have time. Yes, I'm completely back in this now, so excited.

Looking forward to this race really much. Vague-Schiltz with potential to finally stick it to Cook in Coca-Cola trophy.

Well, well, we finally have that Struisbaai Cross! No cancelation this year Enjoy!
I leave on holiday this Friday. I'll be gone for about 10 days so I think I'll post the next race preview tomorrow or Thursday and then head into a small break until I return!

I feel like there were some interesting strategies there but the race went alright in the end. Thanks for the report.

All i can think is how Blue Bell CX will handle it's contract negotiations with Goldie and Dao both consistently kicking ass and challenging for races.
Goldie is rocking at the moment with a great string of results. Front row start position and 2nd in the World Cup as we start coming back to Europe. The more hilly routes will probably see him lose ground but he should be in a position to keep fighting as he can relax in other competitions.
Radio and TDF have had their moments. TDF especially finally getting some good rides in the sand but he's still got a long way to go before he can look at any other type of race. Radio should slip into a teammate role for Goldie and Dao in most events, but if the route flattens out he can go for his own chances.
All three guys are looking good but back in Europe with the winter expect to see Radio and TDF skip a few events, and even Goldie might pass on some non-World Cup races. Time for Hammer Time to step it up a level

Didn't find the time to do the next preview after all.
I'm heading for Italy today, I'll be gone for about 8 - 9 days.
See you when I get back!
(I'll probably have internet there but I'm on vacation mode so probably no CX)

Sure, I get back now to that awesomeness (don't want to crash the site with bananas before I check out the new toys so that explains my toned down celebrations), can't wait for Johannesburg, and now Ian is on holiday

Well a small update is in order!
I have internet here, as I thought, though it's very unstable and I only seem to have internet a few hours of the day (when the camping spot is quiet, when more people arrive, the internet goes )
I've had some time to think (always dangerous) and I'm going to try and make some changes in my life. One of them is to stop gaming completely. Well, maybe not entirely but limited to a few hours a week maximum.
However, CX has nothing to do with gaming and I see this more as excellent writing exercise and an amazing hobby I share with all of you. So CX will continue to go until there are no people left who want to play
I should be home by Sunday evening, so the next preview could come as soon as next Monday. However, I'm going by mobilhome/motorhome, so there's a slight chance we (road trip with my uncle) might put in another two days and travel the French coast a bit more. Anyway, it'll come when it's there, that's the safest thing to say
Once again I must thank everyone participating in this. Starting this up, I could never have expected it to turn out this great, a world filled with rich characters and interesting rivalries!

So, basically forever?
interesting rivalries!
Keep writing and we could have a Liserijn/Bollinger or something
Actually, idea-for-Ian-that-I'm-not-really-entitled-to-share-because-I'm-not-the-one-here-doing-awesome-writing time!
So, if you wanted to, something that might be cool is before/after a race/blog post* you could do a quick few sentences of how some of the more important bots are feeling? It might add something to racing, tactics and the game overall, especially from a personal view I'm in teams where the team leader is a bot.
*but not every one ofc

Not a bad idea, jandal7.
Let me think on it, but it sounds good. Though you could always do it via via. Let your character speak about what that other one is feeling. (he told me... he told the press...) I wouldn't do it directly from them.
You can definitely try it out, though!
An other possibility would be for me to take a few bots and get small posts with them, to keep the game interesting. Don't know what you think about that?
Anyway, now getting to my real point of this post:
REQUEST: We have a new feature on the site. The like/dislike/thanks/... buttons. Although it's a nice new feature, with plenty of possibilites, I friendly ask you NOT to use the buttons in the Game Thread of CX. Every one playing has their own style and does what they can. We all appreciate what everyone writes, so I don't think it'd be good to rate these posts (and compare).
Hope you understand

Hmmmm. Yeah, I see it happening, but I don't know what license we'll have. F.e, I'd love to write Michael as a d***head but I'm not sure if I can

Hmm.
To be honest, I think there are enough d***heads in this peloton already
But you can definitely make him a character that doesn't get along with your characters. But take in account that would be strange to write about.
1) They work for him sometime.
2) Riders from the same team will never disrespect each other publicly to the press.

I was thinking more Wiggins at Garmin if you get my drift . Acting ambitious but really more scared of Milan. He shouldn't be until we get to the sand next year

Could be. But once again, don't do it too literally and it's good didn't really follow Wiggo at Garmin so don't know about that, but most riders don't give away too much to the press.
You never heard Wiggo say that Froome is a d***head in that Tour he won, but he was thinking it
