A shorter report of a not-so-interesting Great Hertford Classic.
The Classic will need some changes if it wants to survive in this cyclo-cross. But not all races can be so spectacular.
Hope you enjoy the race anyway.
And, just like last year, I give you this little information:
Spoiler
The little hill where you can professionally "wait", about which I talk in the preview is a bit like this:
From 2:34 to 2:38. Here, the first rider (Van Der Poel) holds a small break on top, so that the 2nd rider (Van Aert) is forced to put his foot on the ground. However in this scenario Van Aert does it brilliantly. A rider with less talent will lose 4 seconds easily. In our cross, it's 150 meters before the finish, so doing this almost means losing. Or look at the 3rd rider, he has even more effect from this move, losing 20 meters so quickly.
Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh! Once again my rider does the opposite of what I wanted

Also, Josiah Bennett rides for the new Santos-ASB and not the old Fonterra-Genesis Cross

Forgot to mention: at Hobart Sunny Classic, Cornelis can come next to Gasthuys as record holder with a win.
Also, interest/activity is quite low with the ManGame transfers.
So do you all prefer a small break, a drop in pace or just keep it going as it is?
That said, I hope to do the race tomorrow. Unless you decide otherwise
I've got a research paper to hand in next week. Combined with MG that causes a lack of time. I'd prefer a small break personally, allowing me to make a write up.
I know my attention has been on the MG. Have read the report and it was enjoyable seeing Mikel in the Top5. Things will get quieter there as the days go on so i see no reason to stop, just perhaps only one race this week?
Okay, I'll definitely slow things down a bit for the upcoming week.
So expect Hobart between tomorrow and Friday. Then I'll do the preview for the next race but I won't do that report until after the weekend.
That way everyone has enough time to do his MG or school duties and I also have some spare time

Can't blame you. MG Transfer is a busy season and it's a bit unfortunate the start of season 2 overlaps with the MG transfers.
That's why I'm putting the brakes on here for two weeks now.
A bit unfortunate for those players that aren't part of the ManGame, but they'll have to be patient, sorry about that
I really do hope that things get back to normal after the transfers and that we won't have lost anyone along the way and can get right back to the action!
