You shouldn't really be negotiating when you have no idea of prices, budgets or whether the rider will even be yours at the beginning of the transfer period. Silvio, there is no need to worry at the moment.

All I know is that I have an agreement for a VERY good rider.

Good to know. And without money no agreement can be made anyway...

Didn't Oldfart say that pre-dealing wouldn't be allowed?

Not exactly a pre-deal because no specifics are sorted out. Me and the other party just discussed in a couple of PM's what we would discuss when transfers were up.

Which pretty much is a pre-deal ^
'An agreement for a VERY good rider' implies otherwise Mr Cycleman. Don't want to break transfer rules in another game now do we.

Ok I didn't really word it right. We were definitely allowed to contact other teams and make enquiries. I asked a certain manager if a certain rider was available, and he said that it was likely. We then agreed that when budgets were sorted out we would talk about a sum. Doesn't sound like a pre-deal because it is by no means definite.

I won't be allowing transfers in the first 24? 48? 72? hours, we'll see, of the transfer period, to counter these predeals. What the whole point of a transfer period if people have already decided everything? It's like when someone created Sithembile and he was signed with Sky already
In this case, can both parties involved PM me what exactly was discussed?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I'll PM you now. I remember talking to you about it a while ago and it was all fine.

If it's an enquiry then there is no reason it cannot be publicly made. "Hi, i wonder what the availability of XX is?" Perfectly good enquiry, just asking about availability, no issues.
"Hi, i wondered if you would swap XX for YY?" Bad enquiry, that's an offer, issues.

I did the first one over PM. I asked if a certain rider was available and he said yes if you give me a rider and some cash which we'll talk about in transfer season. That's it.

Cycleman, don't forget you're having Evans whether you like it or not so I don't like you making deals behind my back.

Oh dear it looks like I have a lot of catching up to do...
Firstly, many apologies to everyone (especially Ollfardh) for my protracted absence, I have just had so much stuff to deal with irl that I literally haven't had any time to check up on things like EPIC. I really feel like I've let the active core of this community down a bit, but I'll try and be better in the near future.
Secondly, if I'm still in time, I would like to continue managing Saxo-Tinkoff; I've really enjoyed EPIC so far (when I've been around ) and I'll try and put an HQ update up once I've read through all the important reports. From initial brief inspection looks like we've failed quite a few goals while I've been away though

First renewals, then transfer period. I'm thinking of allowing one rider on a waiting list. If your budget won't allow you to resign one, you get a week or so to sell riders to get that budget.

Wait until Oldfart explains the rule and then follow these

Depends what Oldfart classes as the "end of season". Hey Oldfart! What do you class as the end of season? (also you're not going to become Jesleyh/Kelderman famous)
Also i noticed my manager is still classed as Swedish. Whilst this was correct that manager has since gone missing and is no longer in charge of FDJ.fr (i thought i'd covered this in my HQ). With that in mind please find the new manager details below (remains FDJ of course just needs updating):
Name: Faye Marcus (relation to Krista? You'll have to wait and see)
Nationality: British
