Could you please explain how/why I was punished???

Will need to check, but in most cases it's a late PM or mistakes in the startlist

Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

ok, that doesn't make sense to me though, I made mistakes in mine, but I got it in early and said that there were likely to be mistakes, so I could fix it, and it turned out the problem was that the amount of race days for 1 race was incorrectly specified and the only time you've mentioned a punishment I lost 2k for bidding on a rider that I couldn't have.

Well, I said there would be punishments for making mistakes in the PM..

I hope this is all correct and please don't punish me for a minor mistake, I'll fix it if you find any, but I've spent ages on this and that wouldn't be any fair, especially considering the fact the I've left enough time to fix any mistakes. Anyway, I hope it's good.

Firstly, could you please tell me I'm being punished,

Secondly, as I said in the pm, it really isn't fair, I didn't have much time then, but I found some to fit it in, it's not my fault that I didn't have enough time to fix every mistake, especially because I had no way of knowing that the race had a 1a and 1b stage, at least tell people that.

You can check how many stages a race has in the game or in the stage folder. Anyway, Oldfart posted about those races with more stages than days later on.

Also, it was mentioned in the post of the big pm that any mistake would be punished.

Still it's not fair. I got it done in time, that should be enough.

But you caused extra work for Oldfart. And now shut up, bitch!

I'm not a huge fan of those penalties - especially if not transparent how much you'll get for what mistake (public list please!) - but they've reasons. And if he wants to stay with penalties he has to stay consequent and give it for every mistake. Just my two pennys.

I agree with your critic about the organizing though.

A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Ok, I read your second part, but just replying to that first sentence, he checked everybodys startlists, how much extra work is replying with 2 sentences, I fixed the mistake.

You made a mistake, mistake=punishment, you got a punishment.

35th Grand Prix Cycliste la Marseillaise

The Preview

www.procyclingstats.com/races/profilesmaps/2014-01/Grand-Prix-Cycliste-la-Marseillaise-1390921214.png

The hilly route will provide plenty of springboards for attacks in just 138km from Allauch to Marseille. The short length also gives the breakaway just a little hope in success. Will punchers attack? Will hilly sprinters hold on? The longest climb is around 60km out from the finish and doesn't contain a gradient that will frighten anyone who can go up hill leaving a very open race.

Favourites

Weschenbach - The Sky man is built for the one day classics but will be hoping for a big group at the finish.

Gasparotto - Will be looking to attack on the small hills towards the end. Should be Astana's sole leader.

Henao - Another Sky man, the Colombian is a small guy with a big kick.

Verboven - A very strong all round rider for Euskaltel, can go long or from a sprint.

Arredondo - Will be looking to make it to the line solo but definitely has the ability to do so if given the freedom.

The Race

i61.tinypic.com/2iv094p.jpg

The riders roll out at the start of race in Allauch

i59.tinypic.com/2f03bjr.jpg

We immediately start climbing as always with the profile of this race, the day's first attackers form a gap. Break includes, Sanz (EUS), Giraud (ALM) and Delpech (BSE).

i61.tinypic.com/11qi8hu.jpg

A trio decide to they want to in the break too with the peloton willing to let them go. It's Garate (MOV), Hondo (TFR) and interestingly Renshaw (BEL).

i59.tinypic.com/6f4mck.jpg

And on a downhill slope after 10km they merge into today's breakaway. They hold a steady 4 minute gap over the peloton.

i59.tinypic.com/11t8z2e.jpg

Sky, Belkin and Astana contribute to the pace setting. The peloton allow the break 6 minutes with 100km to go.

i61.tinypic.com/fwpnp5.jpg

The break approach the biggest peak of the race, it will provide a test on the legs of the sprinters who have any aspirations of a bunch kick. Around 78km to go and the time difference is down to 3'34".

i61.tinypic.com/fxtpc2.jpg

Peloton is controlled by Astana. The break is brought within 2 minutes.

i57.tinypic.com/ncbiaf.jpg

An unexpected attack, Colbrelli (BAR) attacks over the apex of the climb and charges downhill.

i61.tinypic.com/atrnti.jpg

And with 27km to go, he puts in a great shift to reach the front men. Gap to the peloton stands at just under a minute.

i57.tinypic.com/vnm148.jpg

Under 20km to go and its going to be a close finale, the break have a real chance with over a minute back to the peloton as they continue to cooperate efficiently.

i57.tinypic.com/2dqsqog.jpg

Belkin obviously don't believe in a big sprint finish, Kittel is the man chosen to hunt the break down.

i57.tinypic.com/idvbzq.jpg

14km to go, Henao (SKY) and Vanmarcke make a move for Belkin after there work on the front. Up the road Hondo is dropped while Garate attacks the break, he opens up 12 seconds and whopping 2'30" back to the peloton.

Quickly after Arredondo (TFR), Kahki (CSS), Hoogerland (VCD), Barguil (BEL), Gasparotto (AST), Verboven (EUS) and Weschenbach (SKY) form a group out the peleton 1'00" back from leader Garate. Schleck (VCD), Martinez Machado (CJR) and Florencio are an extra 36 seconds behind. Anyone in the peloton now will find it very hard to win now.

i61.tinypic.com/34zm71x.jpg

Henao and Vanmarcke catch the group chasing Garate, now 27 seconds in front.

i62.tinypic.com/dpea03.jpg

Here is the situation, with 10km to go. It's early all down hill from here.

i59.tinypic.com/16bh3sp.jpg

Somehow Garate continues to increase the gap, now up to 44 seconds despite the chasers behind giving it everything. A second group trail 1'38" consisting of Hoogerland, Verboven, Gasparotto, Weschenback, Barguil, Kakhi and Hondo.

i57.tinypic.com/4qrc5h.jpg

The breakaway does it again! Garate (Movistar) cruises through the finish line, no energy left for a celebration though.

i59.tinypic.com/141treo.jpg

Delech and Giraud sweep up the podium places making it a 1-2-3 for the breakaway despite Vanmarcke and Henao in the group.

New plan for Season Parts 2 + 3. Leave any form of half-decent leader at home and stack the squad with breakaway riders, you'll win every other race we have in EPIC

Top 5 goal here gone ofc, Podium at Maxima next with Stage win goals in TDU and Gabon already failed too. Things are not looking well, but luckily it's early in the season Smile

No words. This is out of hand, worse than any Cam Meyer bug. And also what a bad bad bad performance from us anyway.

IAM not amused.

24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Had hoped for a slightlu better finish from Sanz, seeing as he's signed as a future sprint leader...

This race is extremely well suited for a break so no surprise really - especially with Movistar out of the picture due to having Garaté in the break. I do look a bit stupid saying that I didn't want him for anything though

Overall a good points-harvest with both Verboven and Florencio inside the top 20 as well.
