Yeah not sure if you noticed but Algarve has started and will move at a good pace from now on.

That's awkward then. PfftEmbarassed
Opened the thread, saw a Langkawi stage, thought I hadn't missed anything. Sorry there. Smile

San Luis - San Luis ITT 19km

The race returns to the streets of San Luis for the only Time Trial of the race. Luke Durbridge is the stand-out favourite today, while GC riders will either be trying to keep themselves in contention, limit their losses or gain more time. With Tejay Van Garderen a favourite to take time back, optimistically a top 5 is still possible, while Kelderman is looking to reverse the time gaps. Kangert, Weening also will be riding to take more time, which could be enough inspiration to win, while Peter Sagan is a favourite for his ability on flat roads, and he needs the time before the only mountain stage tomorrow. Shaqif, Sergent and Cataldo should also have nothing to lose and a lot to gain today.

Sorry, I didn't know how to get rid of the circles for the TT, it goes back to the next rider even when you stop the camera.

i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah164/trekbmc1/PCM0501.jpg

Joe Eldrigdge (Novo) is the first rider to set off today, His time at the first checkpoint is 12:01 and finishes with a time of 26:30 this should be the benchmark for the earlier riders.

Camera's lost Connection, we will leave you with commentary until then.

Michael Hepburn (Orica) sets off early due to being 137th in the GC, but he is the first TT specialist and will likely set a benchmark for the stronger riders who are low down in the GC. He finishes in 25:15 for the 19 kilometres.

i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah164/trekbmc1/PCM0507.jpg

Jesse Sergent (Trek) is 1 second ahead of Hepburn at the first Time Check, But he rides a negative split to blitz Hepburn's time by 33 seconds, leading the race with 24:42.

i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah164/trekbmc1/PCM0510_1.jpg

Stage favourite Luke Durbridge (Orica) is early to depart, which means GC riders can use his time as a reference point. He is 10 seconds ahead of Serfent at the first time check with 11:12. Although his second part was only 3 seconds faster than Sergent, 24:28

i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah164/trekbmc1/PCM0511.jpg

Favourite to win all the GTs, Monuments and the World Champs this season, Marc De Maac De Maar (UHC) come in a provisional 18th with 25:58. This won't gain him any green jersey points, so it looks like Sagan has that competition.

i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah164/trekbmc1/PCM0513.jpg

Nelson Oliveira (Trek) is missing his jersey, but that doesn't stop him from equalling Durbridge's time at the frst checkpoint and beating his teammate Sergent to a provisional second at the finish, with a time of 24:38, just 10 seconds off Luke Durbridge.

i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah164/trekbmc1/PCM0514_1.jpg

Marouane Shaqif (MTN) is 7 seconds behind at the first checkpoint, but can't raise the pace and loses the same amount in the second half, 14 seconds down on the Durbridge with 24:42 for him.

i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah164/trekbmc1/PCM0520.jpg

Matteo Montaguti (Ag2r) is riding the race of his life, in third, just 3 seconds off the pace at the first time check. But he falls off the pace to be provisionally 8th, with a time of 25:05. Luke Durbridge still leads.

i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah164/trekbmc1/PCM0521.jpg

Dario Cataldo (BMC) tops Durbridge's time at the first checkpoint with a time of 11:07. He finishes with a time of 24:54 provisionally 6th.

i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah164/trekbmc1/PCM0524.jpg

He is missing his Trek jersey but Maxime Monfort (Trek) sets the new best time at the intermediate check with 11:05 but he slows down for 5th, losing about 30 seconds to Durbridge in the second half, a time of 24:48.

i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah164/trekbmc1/PCM0527_1.jpg

Another rider racing to bring back time for his top ten spot, Diego Johnson (Orica) come in at the first checkpoint in 3rd, with a time of 11:08 but he continues to finish in 9th at 29 seconds down on his teammate. a time of 29:57.

i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah164/trekbmc1/PCM0528_1.jpg

Tejay Van Garderen (BMC) didn't have a good start, reaching the time check 9 seconds down on Monfort. He loses even more time in the second part, to be provisionally 13th, at 45 seconds to Durbridge.

i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah164/trekbmc1/PCM0533_1.jpg

Josef Hintermuller (MTN) is 7th at the first checkpoint, just 8 seconds down on Monfort. But the second half of the course has proved tough and he drops to 15th, 46 seconds down.

i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah164/trekbmc1/PCM0535.jpg

Pieter Weening (Orica) is 4th in at the time check. Just 4 seconds down on Monfort. Unfortunately he can't keep the pace up and drops to 12th, 40 seconds down on his teammate with a time of 25:08. This should be enough to keep hold of his top 10 position.

i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah164/trekbmc1/PCM0536.jpg

Tanel Kangert (Giant) is riding a great race, as he produces a time of 11:06 at the first checkpoint, 1 second off Monfort. But the second half is proving very hard and tiring, it is slightly uphill with a small crosswind. He comes in a provisional 11th, 31 seconds down, his time is 24:59.

i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah164/trekbmc1/PCM0547.jpg

Davide Rebellin (CCC) deserves some credit for his effort, but the mountains leader and 6th in GC will have to solely focus on the KOM jersey now, a provisional 97th, which will likely drop to 101st. He is 1 minute, 51 seconds down on Durbridge, fortunately for him, the Time Trial wasn't too long.

i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah164/trekbmc1/PCM0538.jpg

Dutch TT Champion, Wilco Kelderman (Belkin), smashes everybody at the first time check, a full 12 seconds ahead of Maxime Monfort!

Although not even Wilco can hold the pace, finishing with a time of 24:29, just 1 second behind Durbridge.

i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah164/trekbmc1/PCM0540.jpg

Racing to keep within range of the GC, Sergio Henao (Sky) produces the 7th best time at the first checkpoint, he is 18 seconds down on Kelderman at the moment, but Kelderman is only 25 seconds down on him in GC.

Unfortunately he can't keep the pace up and drops to a provisional 20th, 47 seconds down on Durbridge, with the 46 second loss to Kelderman meaning at least some reshuffle of the top 5 positions.

i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah164/trekbmc1/PCM0543.jpg

Julian Arredondo (Caja) will lose places in the GC if he continues at this pace, losing 39 seconds and provisional 32nd a the time check.

He drops to provisional 78th 1 minute 39 seconds down on Durbridge.

i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah164/trekbmc1/PCM0544.jpg

Carlos Bentancur (Ag2r) is 22 seconds behind at the first check, Kelderman is 37 seconds down on him on GC, so defending his second place will be hard.

He comes in 29th provisionally, which isn't bad, but a 1 minute loss to Kelderman will mean he loses his second spot in GC.

i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah164/trekbmc1/PCM0545.jpg

Peter Sagan (Cannondale) is 2nd at the first Time Check, 11 seconds down on Kelderman, this is very good for his GC chances.

He finishes 13th as the final rider to cross the line, losing 33 seconds to Durbridge and 32 to Kelderman. He'll keep yellow but there will be a big battle for him to defend it tomorrow.

i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah164/trekbmc1/PCM0548.jpg

Luke Durbridge takes today's stage, a brilliant ride by him!

i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah164/trekbmc1/PCM0549.jpg

Peter Sagan defends his jersey yet again. Tomorrow will be his biggest challenge though.

Nice 5th for Shaqif here, guess more was impossible. Although Grmay was a bit disappointing this stage I'm glad I still have two in the top-10 Smile

Yes! First win of the season Banana

Not angry with the way the other guys went, but I wish that Pieter and Diego held their pace.

Solid TT from Nokkvason. Now I can just hope that he won't be used to pull Rebellin on the next stage...

Nerz solid, there's a bit of a chance he can crack Top 10 but dear me, I really don't see it happening. I just hope for the best, cross fingers.

You focused on some weird riders, but doesn't matter xD Nokkvason with some room to improve and Rebellin is solely here for a stage win Smile

Opened the thread, saw a Langkawi stage, thought I hadn't missed anything. Sorry there. Smile

So close for Wilco, but what a great ride from him. He just needs to follow Henao and Betancur now.

Marc De Maar was a joke, I thought Montaguti would do well and forgot to take him out and Eldrige was the first rider so I decided to include him, everybody else is important in GC or did well in the stage.

Working on the next round of startlists, now that San Luis and Algarve are moving. Hoping for Omloop and Almeria to start soon as well Wink

So who's running Tirreno now? I offered but had no reply, and then I saw Luigi offered, so I'm a bit confused.

Oh yeah, forgot about communication Pfft

Since Luigi doesn't like classics, I was thinking he could do Tirreno and you can do Roma Maxima as you said your time was limited this season part?

Oh, not this crap. I was hoping it was all a dream and that San Luis hadn't started yet.

So, there's (roughly) three possibilities:

1: Tejay had a heavy crash that you didn't tell us about and is riding round on one leg.

2: You didn't disable random fitness, meaning Tejay is in Nibali mode (he sucks until May/June)

3: The game does hate BMC after all and no matter what I do, the AI will do everything in its power to ensure I score hardly any points despite having the best GC rider at a given race.

4: Cyanide actually managed to implement a "give no shits" feature, meaning big-name riders realise they're racing in some shithole far too close to Christmas to care, though with Sagan's performance, I doubt that one.

So, which is it?

Focusing on the positives (like the weather or the fact that we'll all be home soon), good to see three riders in the top 10, but Haga beating Craddock is surprising. Still, I've always known Haga was the real American talent, not Van Garderen. Rolling Eyes

Murphy (UHC) takes the intermediate ahead of Engoulvent (SOJ), Broeckx (BAR) and Scheirlinckx (WGG). They have about a minutes gap.

Same order on the 2nd intermediate. By now the gap is 1'49

Third sprint: Schierlinckx, Broeckx, Murphy. The gap is 3'28.

Murphy also takes the first KOM, which marks the start of the climbing.
70 km to go and 3'49

Lequatre bridges the gap on the main climb without much trouble.
50 km and 3'00
40 km and 2'57. Broeckx and Engoulvent have dropped from the front group.

Lequatre is first over the Cat. 1. The gaps is 2'26

Poorseyedi is the next to try his luck. Seeing UHC dominate the front should make everyone worried about what De Maar has in the bag. That or invite to attacks…

Clarke wins the sprint for 5th. At least the pace was hard enough to make the sprinters a bit tired.

Great mountain stage in Langkawi. Pfft

Great result for Sagan in the TT, keeping a good lead over Kelderman before the mountains. He also seems to have been spending a lot of time in the sun in between the stages. Smile

You gotta be kidding me :/ I'm never gonna get that stage win, if we continue getting second places Sad

JvR progressing again! He might even pick up a win if he continues like this.

That said, the final 3 stages will all go to breaks, the one with the largest gap including De Maar Pfft
