3 Quite exotic riders who might be worth adding...

Jyme BRIDGES (Antigua and Bermuda)
22/08/1989
Time trialist, Last year’s nat. champion. Also 18th at the Pan American championships ITT in 2010.

Russell ELCOCK (Barbados)
06/12/1993
3 Times national champion ITT.

Alex Ariya DESTRIBOIS POUNSAVATH (Laos)
03/02/1991
Rides for the team from Brunei this season. Was 32nd at least year’s Langkawi and won the Southeast Asian Games. Can only assume he’s a decent climber/puncheur.

Quick question...

Johson Arnold ID7482
Is he real? I cannot find him anywhere in the real world

and another suggestion

Miguel Bryon 10/01/1995

2nd in Junior RVV and 20th in Junior Roubaix! Decent number of top10's in sprints in Europe and not bad at prologues either. To me looks like a promising Sprinter/Classics type rider, especially at the age of 19

I won't add any rider born in 1995 or later. There's not a lot to go on from Junior races about a rider's ability.

Atlantius
Name: Samuel Pökälä
Nationality: Finland
Born: 14/08/1990
PCS: https://www.procyc...uel_Pokala
CQ: https://cqranking....erid=20169
His best results are in TT’s with a Finnish championship in 2013 and participation in the 2013 World champs. Also 5th in the Finnish RR champs 2013. Seems to survive hills decently, though with no punch to make a good finish.

Name: Marcus FÃ¥glum-Karlsson
Nationality: Sweden
Born: 20th July 1994
PCS: https://www.procyc...;id=167934
CQ: https://www.cqrank...erid=21551
Several strong TT results. Finished 4th and 5th in the first two stages of Baltic Chain Tour (uphill finishes) gicing him a day in the leaders jersey and 7th at 2012 European champs suggesting a decent punch for his age as well.

Name: Luis Lemus
Nationality: Mexican
Born: 21st April 1992
PCS: https://www.procyc...eason=2013
CQ: https://cqranking....erid=19395
Mexican RR champ 2012+13, ITT champ 2013, 25th Japan Cup ’12, 8th stage 1 Tour of Gila ’12.
Going in to 3rd season at Jelly Belly.

Name: Uri Martins Sandoval
Nationality: Mexican
Born: 7th August 1990
PCS: https://www.procyc...ri-Martins
CQ: https://cqranking....erid=18139
3rd in stage 10 of Qinghai Lake ’13 behind Giraud and Thwaites. 22nd at senior panamerican championships after Richeze and Richeze. Stage 5th and in 2010 Vuelta a Costa Rica and 2nd in Mexican NC 2011. Seems like a punchy fighter type with mediocre TT’skills.
Going into 3rd season at Amore & Vita.

Also Luis Pulido seems to be double in the DB (ID’s 780 & 7819)

I don't know if you listen to someone who is not yet part of the game, but here some riders you might want to add to the db. All of these are from Asian countries that aren't represented much in the db.

Ronald Oranza

02/12/1992

CQ: https://cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/ride...erid=21183
PCS: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider....?id=141245

Phillipinan ITT champion, also took part at Asian cycling championships and became eigth at the U23 ITT with an average of 46 km/h on a 28 km course. Also became second on a flat stage at Jelajah Malaysia.

Rustom Lim

08/07/1993

CQ: https://cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/ride...erid=19983
PCS: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider/...Rustom_Lim

Best scoring Phillipinian on both CQranking and PCS. He is current Phillipinian champion. Other than that his best result last season is a second spot on a stage at the Tour des Fillipinas behind Mehdi Sohrabi, looking at the times this was from a breakaway.

Mark Galedo

11/09/1985

CQ: https://cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/ride...erid=14351
PCS: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider/...xer-Galedo

Most consistent Phillipinian. Fith at the mountain stage of Le Tour de Fillipinas. The biggest race he took part in last season was a 2.1 race, the Tour of Taihu Lake, he finished somewhere in the middle. Won the TT of the Myanmar Games, ahead of Oranza.

Van Duan Le

29/10/1987

CQ: https://cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/ride...derid=8952
PCS: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider....?id=133796

Vietnamese sprinter, once fifth and sixth on stages at the Tour de Singkarak last season. Before that very successful at a stage race in Brunei where he beat more known names like Hossein Nateghi (yeah I know also not that well known.. but some my know him). Became fourth at the Asian championships last year.

Thanh Tam Nguyen

11/12/1992

CQ: https://cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/ride...erid=20117
PCS: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider....?id=168973

Vietnamese champion, other than that there I only found one decent result, that was at the Tour de Singkarak, fifth at a sprint stage so I assume he is a sprinter.

Duc Tam Trinh

04/12/1992

CQ: https://cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/ride...erid=19623
PCS: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider....?id=168648

Second of the Tour de Brunei 2012 by becoming second in the deciding hilly/flat stage. On top of that became second at the U23 time trial at the asian games. I think his best stats should be figther and TT.

Shreedhar Savanur

07/07/1994

CQ: https://cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/ride...erid=22079
PCS: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider....?id=183522

Indian road race champion, also eigth at the third 'CFI International Race' race through Delhi. The race is called international but in fact only the Malaysians of Terrenganu and Indians took part so that's not that big of an achievement. But he finished third of a big group so I'd guess that he is a sprinter.

Sangamesh Talwar

29/03/1986

CQ: https://cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/ride...erid=13557
PCS: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider/...esh_Talwar

31st of the still young Asia Tour of this season. That makes him the best Indian in the ranking. He is that because he had the best result in one of the three IFC international races. He became second out of a eigth man group. I'd give him figther, maybe sprint and or hill stats.

Sachin Kumar

20/01/1990

CQ: https://cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/ride...erid=22081
PCS: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider/...chin_Kumar

One of the best Indians at their three home races, coming 3rd in Mumbai and 9th in Delhi. In Mumbai he crossed the line 21 seconds behind the winner, judged by the times the profile was the most demanding of the races, so maybe a little better energy stats than the others I mentioned + hill stats. In Delhi he was one of the best of the big group sprint. Kumar is also the only Indian I found who participated in races outside of India. He took part at the Sharjah International Cycling Tour in UAE without good results though.

Abhinandan Bhosale

27/02/1993

CQ: https://cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/ride...erid=22263
PCS: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider/...an_Bhosale

The only Indian that was quite decent in all three of their home races. Even twice finishing top five. Becoming third in Delhi in the same group than Talwar and also good in Mumbai sprinting out of the big group, so maybe again sprint stats.

Some more:

Ji Wen Low

27/10/1989

CQ: https://cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/ride...derid=9600
PCS: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider/...Ji_Wen_Low

Sprinter from Singapore, best results of the last season a ninth place at a sprint stage at Jelajah Malaysia. Far better seventh on the third stage of this year's Herald Sun Tour (2.1) in a mass sprint. The other stages he couldn't hang on to the peloton, so maybe decent sprint stat but low energy stats.

Choon Huat Goh

14/12/1990

CQ: https://cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/ride...erid=18399
PCS: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider....eason=2012

Climber, got his best results last season on summit finishes (East Java, stage 3; Banyuwangi Tour, stage 2). He took part in the Tour the Langkawi 2012 where his best result on a stage was 11th. This was a rather flat stage so I think he was in the break, it was also the longest stage.

Shan Shuang

15/04/1992

CQ: https://cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/ride...erid=20758
PCS: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider....?id=126742

Is the actual Chinese champion, won in a sprint I guess.. Other than that he took part in the Tour of China almost on every stage finishing ~25-30 out of 120.

Yulong Xu

14/04/1990

CQ: https://cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/ride...erid=18540
PCS: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider/.../Xu_Yulong

Timetrialist, got eigth at the Asian TT championships other than that there is only one entry at CQ from the Tour of China 2011 so I don't know if you want to add him.

Peilun Wu

16/07/1990

CQ: https://cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/ride...erid=12884
PCS: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider/.../Peilun_Wu

Chinese climber, scored his CQ and PCS points with a good overall classification at the Tour of Fuzhou where he got sixth at the queen stage. Also took part at a 2.HC race, the Tour of Qinghai Lake, where his best result is 14th on a stage with a climb of 1600 heigth metres is in. Also became 12th in the KoM ranking.

Zhihui Jiang

03/03/1994

CQ: https://cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/ride...erid=21205
PCS: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider....?id=175158

Sprinter, he could gather several Top ten places at stage races in china (2.2 and 2.1) at the 2.HC race he toulk part in, the Tour of Hainan, he at least sprinted to several top 20's.

Etienne Bonello

27/06/1977

CQ: https://cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/ride...derid=5052
PCS: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider/...ne-Bonello

Malta RR and TT champion. Other than that finished at the Sharjah International Cycling Tour at every stage somewhere in the top middle.

CountArach
I'd looked into Bonello but he is already wayyyy too old for the Man Game.

Peraud was added last year as a 35 year old so i guess it doesn't matter

ggDonovan
Spanish:

Carlos Barbero
https://www.procyc...os_Barbero
He seems the typical spanish uphill sprinter

Dario Hernandez
https://www.procyc..._Hernandez
Good result, 8th, at the Tour of Hainan'13 (2.HC)

Jesus Ezquerra:
https://www.procyc...erra_Muela
8th a the Nationals '13. He seems a capable rider at TT.

Argentina:

Josué Moyano:
https://www.procyc...sue-Moyano
Nice climbing skills. 5th at Tour de San Luis '14 and 3rd on 2011

Okay, but the others should be fine I guess? Smile

jph27
Some Sri Lankan riders with a bit of guesswork for abilities from geography, road conditions and results I could scramble together Smile

Thusitha Hettiarachchige (17/12/1983)
https://www.cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/...derid=9197

Ok TTer, but likely to go better in hilly TTs than flat ones, - most riding in Sri Lanka happens in the hill country - plus likely low Flat stat judging by TTT performance.

Dane Nugara (17/05/1989)
https://www.cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/...erid=21253

Another TTer, maybe a little room for improvement and probably better than Hettiarachchige.

Ishan Sandakelum (06/05/1989)
https://www.cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/...erid=17799

Think a Delage type rider - decent over the hills and can sprint. Last results xame as a 20 year old so may have improved a fair bit from his ability when 18th in the Tour of Delhi.

Laxmen Wijerathna (26/05/1986)
https://www.cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/...erid=17897

TTer/Sprinter, probably not hugely talented but maybe a CT domestique at best.

All riders mentioned would probably have decent Hill stats (most races run in the hills), decent TT stats (hard to close roads so TTs mainly run) and high fighter stats as the roads are crazy - you have to fight for road even in a car! Wink

Jack Haig - - 06.09.1993 (20 years)

I know he hasn't raced pro races yet, but due to his outstanding performances in the Australian National Road Series, I thought he may be worth a shot. He also finished 3rd in the AUS NC's RR (Espoirs) and 4th in the TT.

"Haig, 20, sealed the individual honours following an unprecedented breakthrough season on the road including overall victories at the Battle on the Border and Tour of Tasmania.

In his maiden NRS season, Haig narrowly took out the series on 85 points, just two ahead of teammate and Teak Sky signed Nathan Earle (83 points).."

So as the overall winner of the NRS ahead of Earle, he looks worth a mention. He did well in both TTs and mountainous stages, so definitely going to be a decent s6age-racer.

Mark O'Brien - - 16.09.1987 (26 years)
- already in DB / ID: 5238 -

I guess he could need a little stat boost, given that he's already on XP3, if I'm not mistaken. He had a quite difficult season with Team Raleigh without many results except of finishing 17th in Circuit des Ardennes International (2.2), but did quite well the years before.

Taking out several mountainous stage-races in Australia's road series, plus finishing quite well in the NC's (12th, 13th recently) and 19th in Japan Cup 2012, I guess his MO/HI/TT-stats shouldn't be that low.

(more later)

Just to add some more 2014-based impressions/results to those two:

Haig proved his huge talent by grabbing the White jerseys (Young Rider) in both his WT-debut (TDU) and the Herald Sun Tour, where he also finished on podium overall.. he's also already in talks with several WT-teams and is expected to race some European races already this year!

O'Brien did quite well in the Nationals Road Race (yet again), finishing as 7th.

Margh Norway
I second the requested inclusions of Reto Hollenstein and Mirco Saggiorato made by Bushwakers some months ago.

...and want to ask if...
Théry Schir - 18th February 1993 (21)
https://www.procyc...eason=2013
and
Dominik Fuchs - 8th February 1990 (24)
https://www.procyc...eason=2013
... might get admitted.

Even though their results aren't stunning... there is still a demand for swiss young guns. Wink

Bushwackers
Here's another Swiss guy from Team Vorarlberg by the way.

Name: Nicolas Winter
DOB: 15/02/1989
Nationality: Swiss
PCStats: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider....eason=2013
He's listed as an all-rounder on the team website. Results don't give much information because he doesn't have anything that stands out.

jt1109
Name: Jean-Michel Lachance
DOB: 20/01/1987
Nationality: Canada
PCStats: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider/...l_Lachance

Won and was up there in most sprints at the costa rica tour which is against moderate opposition for 2.2 level also has some high placing in Canadian tour races mostly in flat stages so a Flat Sprint specialist.

Name: Anton Varabei
DOB: 02/09/1985
Nationality: Canada
PCStats: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider/...on_Varabei

Went to the tour of costa rica and lead out Lachance very well but seems to thrive in the hills with good results in the Tour of Delta and Bucks County Classic i'd say he's a one day rider with a good finishing kick.

Name: William Blackburn
DOB: 12/03/1989
Nationality: Canada
PCStats: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider....eason=2013

Has started the tour de beuce the past two years and been able to serve his team well as a team mate probably best with flat as best stats low recovery.

Name: Oliver Delaney
DOB: 31/08/1993
Nationality: Canada
PCStats: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider/...er_Delaney

Had a good race in the Tour de Beauce and finished nationals on a tough circuit despite being one of the youngest has good potiential in tt and has been up there in sprints on canadian national scene

Name: Adam De Vos
DOB: 21/10/1993
Nationality: Canada
PCStats: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider/...dam_De_Vos

Young rider done well in French races and finished the tour de gila and delta in delta managed 30th which is way inside the first group also top 10 in National TT so good hill rider with nice TT

Name: Lucas Wardein
DOB: 14/09/1994
Nationality: Canada
PCStats: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider/...as_Wardein

7th overall in a 2.1 stage race including a 2nd place finish on the queen stage could be a good stage racer. though struggled in the TT

Name: Brandon Etzl
DOB: 28/05/1994
Nationality: Canada
PCStats: https://www.procyclingstats.com/rider....eason=2013

25th in the otur of delta and finished national championship won a sprint stage in 2.1 race last year and was 2nd in another one i'd say sprinter who can climb.

Bushwackers
Haha hey JT, Lucas Wardein is actually my room mate. He is not Canadian, he's from Florida so the information on that site is wrong. He's not really a pro, he races for an elite domestic team, but if you're going to add him I would make him a sprinter with a good flat stat as well because he has a big engine. He cannot climb very well.

Bushwackers
Also give him an 85 in Oreo eating.
