rumors are that Half Life 3 and Left 4 Dead 3 are going to be announced fairly soon. that raises a couple questions.
1. since when can Valve count to 3?
2. why wasn't I aware that Hell has frozen over?
3. is this the new apocalypse?

Half Life 3 has been on the verge of announcement since Half Life 2 came out like 9 years ago. Unless the info is coming direct from Valve i would avoid getting too excited.
That said it would male sense for them to try and coincide something alongside the public launch of Steam Machines later in the year
