IDs are permanent, while Total Members number changes due to removing of spambots. Therefore, you can see that there are more than 1,5k removed spambots (101460 - 99877) in 8 years of PCMdaily's existence. Quite cool.

Attention, the weirdest post ever.
Why did it, while trying to type in "pcmdaily" on my phone, that "pcm" looked like "porn". FFS, something wrong is happening with me in last couple of days...

Really sweet banner, but hell, that opacity on "PCM.daily" and "Your daily dose of PCM" is absolutely killing me. Plis change that to 100/100, Valverde, I am sure it would look much better.

Will start my bachelor thesis soon and consider to write it with programs like LaTex or Lyx instead of Word.
The difference to Word is mainly that it`s no "What you see is what you get" writing but instead "What you see is what you mean".
This at least is 100% correct for LaTex while Lyx is somewhere in the middle.
Does anyone has experience with one of those or knows another program, which is good for a bachelor thesis with lots of formulas and diagrams?

My original idea was it would leave the focus for the 100,000 members part and I only thought about changing the opacity after Roturn told me all the admins thought the banner was good. So I didn't really bother sending in a v2 just to change the opacity a little bit.
Here it is though. Im not sure if its too late to change or if its worth it (I dont know how long the banner will even be used).

LaTex is the best way to go. Every scientific article is best written in that. Once you get familiar with it, it's the best program you've ever worked with

Yeah, that's much better now. White text with black stroke or vice versa just doesn't look good with low opacity on colorful background, imo. It doesn't really leave the focus out of 100k members part, because it's on the top-middle and on a brighter part of the banner, which naturally gives it most focus and light. However, this is just my opinion. Others may like the current one better.
Not a big deal, though. Also, great job there, it looks great!

Yeah I guess so. But it`s also the hardest to learn as you need lots of codes. So I am a little bit concerned about it as time for the thesis is 3 months only including experiments and writing.
I watched quite a lot of youtube tutorials so far but still lack the speed to do it correct.

When does your thesis start? If it's still a while, you can learn to work with it now. If it's closing in, you may be right. Though working with Word is taking a big risk

It starts in September but I might start some theory writing already within the next 3-4 weeks.
Word obviously does look more simple in the end but actually most of the other students still use it for their bachelor and eventually jump to LaTex for the Master only. But even there I know many, that used Word as well.

Then it's probably best to use Word, just be careful using it, it can mess up a format instantly.
Though if I'm not mistaken there is a program that helps you work with LaTex... Not sure, though.
