Please, just stfu. If there'd be an award for most initiatives, you'd win it hands down. But it's for the best initiative, so you won't have a chance. It'll either be a daily initiative or the Members DB (which is what I'd put my money on). Posting here trying to get attention for a nomination definitely won't work out.
Didn't even realise this
Of course you didn`t.
Jesley, we all know you only start innitiatives like that to win forum awards to boost your ego.
Thank you for your honesty. Frankly he shouldn't win any as he craves them so much.

Congrats!
Gonna start my driver's lessons soon, you can ride at 17 here, but under supervision. So I want to have it ready at 18, when you can ride on your own. Some guys from my class already have 1 though, so at least I can take advantage of them

Oh gosh, the driving is terrible here. It's mostly due to the Police and Traffic Department being the most corrupt entity known to man. Or perhaps it's due to the millions of minibus drivers who have a total disregard for all rules (and I mean they don't follow any rules at all, no exaggeration); or maybe it's that half of the impoverished native population insists on buying fake licenses from their local dealer?
No offense taken, our roads have alarmingly high accident and death rates. Oh, well, makes us tougher

How does that work?
Meanwhile, I must add, that I am desperate. I beg and I plead for you to nominate me for something in the awards. I can't last another year without that minor and surface value satisfaction in my life.

Seriously, what is happening here? First Admir gets banned for two weeks over nothing (though his permaban was justified), then you want someone to be banned over THAT. And it's not even just anyone, it's one of the most liked members of the community.
Lachi, just because you're Swiss, doesn't mean you need to live up to the stereotype.

While I do see that some people might take offence to the jokes I posted, I assure you that most people have allready seen far worse on the Internet, perhaps even today. I see no reason to appologize for what someone might mistakenly be offended by.
Far worse things have been posted on this forum, things which have not resulted in talks off a possible ban, let alone an actual ban.
If my post is deemed too offensive then let an admin delete it, because I have no intention of doing so. I consider myself to be a contributing member of this community, a member who have not stepped over any arbitrary line in the past, atleast not to my knowledge.
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"

Thats the reaction i wanted to see...because i don't think admirs ban was justified and cactus-jacks comment was not much different...so if admir is banned, cactus should be, too...(personally i don't want them banned)

30 years on and Daily members will still debate the largest controversy in Daily-history: the banning of Admir Schleck.

Wow... ... ...
Took me a good 10minutes to find the post that cause trouble (that's how normal the post was) and when i did figure it out all i did was laugh. Cactus could not have made that any less serious unless he dressed it in a big red nose and started the post with "THIS IS A JOKE. THIS IS NOT SERIOUS"

Are we fucking kidding here!? You can't_even compare this to Admir! I mean, are we all so immature now that if someone makes that sort of joke we go tits up? I mean, who in their right mind would take that seriously!?
(Spacebar_broken)

And in admirs post, he made it obvious as hell, that he is NOT serious...
I don't think admir or cactus-jack should be banned for "trying to be funny".
Maybe my not so good english doesn't allow a better explanation, but i just tried to make clear how idiotic it was, to ban admir, and how idiotic it would be to ban cactus-jack for this...i actually enjoyed cactus-jacks post somehow(i know it was useless and i did not really help)
EDIT: the other reason why admir is banned permanently now, is justified imo...but the 2 week ban somehow wasn't...

So you're comparing a one-off, clearly signalled joke, to multiple counts of abusive and disrespectful behavior against members of the site?

TMM actually did that for a while.
But wait a minute. Why does everyone suddenly think Admir should never have been banned? That's not quite the sentiment that existed at the time...
