Grat, suddenly my computer has started acting up. The battery suddenly drains in half an hour or less and recharges in something like five minutes.
This didn't happen gradualy, it got like this over night. Hopefully that means it's some setting that has been changed and not a battery problem. I read somewhere that somebody with an ASUS-computer had a problem where it "thought" that the battery was at 5% when it really was 50, or something.

I know it's always down to personal opinion but you are actually just plain wrong with some of those
BBT is the most insulting, dumb and patronising show ever created. It had a solid joke basis of "nerds in real life + hot girl" but that only creates 2-3 episodes of actual content before it gets stale. I was a big fan of Seasons 1-3 before it got really big (hipster TMM) but from then on it just got worse and worse with actual negative/regressive character development. I hate this black hole (pun intended) of a show
Also 2 & A Half Men i find abhorent (big word time). Again it was good for the first few seasons but then it grew out of proportion and the comdey got stale, especially as Jake grew out of his innocent child phase.
To give both shows some credit, they do both have some stand out moments and characters. BBT for single handedly keeping Wil Wheatons career alive in amusing ways, and Amy is a brilliant person i love as much as Bender or Barney. 2 1/2 Men for some really clever jokes, for Ryan Stiles and for continuing after the Charlie Sheen meltdown
yeah, I know opiniona may differ (not always only personality but even because of lifestyle and free time differences). Comedys are great to watch on TV because I usually miss some minutes after the commercials, can't really watch anything with a plot. Comedys are great for this. Community is good too.
I watch(ed) Castle, Breaking Bad, House, Elementary, Suits 5 episodes or a whole season in a row.
Mentalist started running on TV some months ago, seems great. Should probably also watch previous seasons.
Dumb. Self bitchslap No. 1 is Friends. Totally forgot it, a classic.

I really really doubt it could charge so fast. Probably problem of charge gauge in the battery but it migth be a problem in the computer too. Would suggest trying the battery in another computer if you can find someone with the same problem.

I just read an article on Windows 9. I'm glad they are going back to it. I still won't upgrade from 7 but if they are going in that direction like it seems they are, I wouldn't be afraid to by a new computer with it. I absolutely hate the new logo still. i want the aero logo back too.
On another note, what is with a bunch of companies stop giving their new products names and just numbering them now. Mario kart and Windows come to mind off the bat.

I'll probably need to switch to win 9 because support for 7 ends.
About the naming: I think its so that dumbasses won't get so confused.

Nah,t hat shouldn't be a problem. Extended support is available till 2020 and it's very rare you need support with you operating system anyway.
And I'm fairly sure applications will support Windows 7 for quite a few years to come. Seeing as it makes up 51% of the entire market share.

I mostly want mainstream support so that I could have latest features on Visual Studio. And I think win 9 will be more popular than 7, so programming on 9 makes more sense.
Will need a new laptop anyway, my current one doubles as a stove. I'll probably change my thermal paste to get through until 9 is ready.

cause Nintendo always had so many imagnitive names for the Mario Kart games. Like Mario Kart 64, Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart Super Circuit, Mario Kart DS, Mario Kart Wii, Mario Kart Double Dash.

Well, the battery indicator says it's full, that's all I have to go by. When I unplug it, it doesn't deplete either, it just stays on 85%, 99% or whatever it is untill the computer turns itself off.

at least here, the prices are huge when buying. Ordering is about 25% cheaper (even with shipping) but complicates repairing with warranty
I got it from a local online shop. It was in Romanian currency so that's why I said close to 800 euros.
Yeah, there are sometimes complications when you need to use your warranty, but that can happen with a physical store as well. It takes a long time, but usually in the end things get sorted out.
Also, it didn't came with the 8.1 but that was the only option as the drivers for this laptop come mostly for 8.1. To be honest, I don't get all this hate towards it. I've only been using for a few hours and I got used to it.

I guess now. Neither did Microsoft Windows.
I always liked the Sega Console names, or at least their American ones. They always actually gave it a name at least.

Numbers are actually not unlimited. Though we can always expand the number of numbers we have, our current system is limited to our imagination.

I don't know. 7 was a massive success, which is what made Microsoft even stupider for not evolving it and instead completely ruining their platform. It turned people off. Windows 7 holds over half of the market share, and it would be foolish for any major market company to stop support for it while it's still a giant in the market. It's like stopping XP support in 2006 or 2007. I would honestly think more Windows 8 users would want to upgrade off the bat than Windows 7 users, who would be 10x more likely to just wait until they get a new PC.
But of course, if you PC is having issues, that's just perfect timing. I would definitely go for it. If it wasn't, I'd advise you to stick with 7.

Windows 8 was an attempt to make people buy windows smart phones because the phone "works" the same as the computer.
But if you make everybody hate the way the computer works, it cannot be a great success.
