Mini-jerseys (Or Mini-Maillots) are not easy to make, but with this guide you should be able to do it! (Thanks to Smoothie for telling me how to do it in the first place!)
I will be using Photoshop, but you can probably do it with other programs, such as Paint.net.
To start with you need to open your main jersey and this:
It may just look like its allwhite, but its not. Its actually a white maillot with a transparent background. Save it and open it in photoshop, along with your jersey, I am going to use my custom made Accumalux jersey.
We will focus first on the template and the first step is to fill the transparent part Black.
Now use the Magic Wand tool and select the Black, then you need to inverse the selection:
Once the selection is inversed click delete, making the white part transparent:
Now move over to your jersey and select the 'top' part of the left hand jersey.
Copy it and paste it onto the Minijersey template and Line it up roughly. You now need to put the new Layer, Layer 1, behind Layer 0.
As the picture shows, go to the Layers tab and click on Layer 1. Drag it so it is underneath Layer 0 and you get the following:
But as you can see, there are still transparent parts that need filling, this is possibly the hardest bit and much harder to explain.
Go to Edit > Transform > Warp and a box will appear around your jersey like this:
You can now 'stretch' your jersey by clicking inside the boxes and dragging it around, its hard to explain and you may need a practice to get the hang of it. Try to fill all of the transparent areas, and your jersey will look something like this:
Clcik on the select tool and click to apply the transformation:
Your mini-jersey is now done and you can now save it as a 32-bit tga file. I want mine to replace Saunier Duval so I will save it as sdv_minimaillot_2007.tga (The 2007 bit is because I am using PPDB, normally it would just be sdv_minimaillot.tga).
To overwrite the exiting version (Make a back up first), copy and paste it into either: C:\Program Files\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Saison 2006\Gui\team_shirt or C:\Program Files\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager 2007\Gui\team_shirt depending on your version.
It is quite often the case that there is already a dds file of the same name in there, for example sdv_minimaillot_2007.dds. The game will automatically go to the dds file first so you need to rename it, I will rename mine to saunier_minimaillot_2007.dds. As there is no dds file, the game will choose my tga file instead.
It may have a black background, but at least it works!
Great guide for beginers, Well done By the way everyone you can change the black background to what you want and i think you just change it to transparent for transparent
