And we're back
News

What a timing, eh?

Yesterday afternoon, PCM.daily went down to what was apparently some bandwidth issues. We have a monthly fixed amount of bandwidth, but we have the possibility of buying more. We did yesterday morning, it was accepted by the host - problem? He forgot to update the limit, leading to the site going down later that day.

Normally, it would have been fixed pretty soon after, but since our host is currently enjoying a vacation in Thailand, he's only online once to twice a day.

Anyway, we're glad to be back for today's important time trial in the Tour de France - have fun.

PCM.daily's Expansion Pack released
Downloads

Small update: When installing the .exe, there's a 0 too much (20010 instead of 2010) in the default installation path. Just remove it, and you should be alright. This is not relevant for downloads after 11:20 (23rd of July).

A while ago, we released the Public Beta of our Expansion Pack for PCM10. 10.000 downloads and lots of great input later, we're ready to release the next version.

We've mainly focused on fixing the bugs that you've reported, but we've also had time to add a few extras. First of all, the community has made plenty of new stages, meaning that the total number of extra stages in the PCM.daily DB is up to 128. We've also added the yellow equipment for Chavanel, Evans and Cancellara/Schleck along with a few other minor equipment additions.

As everyone else, we've also watched the Tour and changed a few stats based on that. It's not a huge stats update compared to the beta, but there's a few tweaks that I'm sure that the Belgians will enjoy ;)

Anyway, enough for now. You can find the full list of features here. Also, remember to read the Frequently Asked Questions. If you find any bugs, report them here.

We've made two files. One is a .7z-file (like .rar) for those of you who downloaded and installed the Public Beta. The other one is an .exe-file which installs itself and contains all files, including the Public Beta.

And the patch is back...
Pro Cycling Manager 2010

Cyanide has now released the 'fixed' version of the 1.0.2.2 patch. There are no new additions compared to the patch from a couple of days ago, so I guess the only difference is the database correction (a way too long rest day period in the Giro). If you downloaded the 1.0.2.2 patch from two days ago, make sure to download and install this one.

Upgrading from 1.0.0.0? Download this.
Upgrading from 1.0.1.8 or above? Download this one then.

Patch 1.0.2.2 withdrawn
Pro Cycling Manager 2010

Apparently, Cyanide has decided to withdraw the 1.0.2.2 patch due to a bug in the Giro d'Italia (20th stage was held on the 29th of May, the 21st stage on the 30th of June - not really optimal ... ;)). A new patch is said to be released later today.

In better news, the Stage Package, adding new stages to the game, is rumoured to be released in c. two weeks from now. I haven't seen the exact quote, but race route changes / variants may be included with the package.

What seemed like a beta patch is indeed the final patch that we have been waiting for for a while. I'm not going to go into depth, but below, you can find the list of changes (and the download links, of course).

1.0.2.2

- Improved races listing programms in career mode. This is only viable for new career saves made with this patch.

- Fixed an issue concerning the young riders progress limitation on the acceleration characteristic in career mode.

- Fixed a simulation issue that could prevent to assign a leader or a sprinter

- Fixed an issue with equipement that could previously stay on the default C1 configuration

- Added three new ladder races (Paris-Roubais, Tour de France : Cambrai - Reims, Tour de France : Bagnères de Luchon - Pau).

- Updated the Ladder database.

- Fixed a simulation issue that could prevent to assign a leader or a sprinter

- Fixed an issue with equipment that could previously stay on the default C1 configuration

You can download the patch for 1.0.0.0 here - or this smaller patch if you're upgrading from 1.0.1.8 (or above).
