Win PCM15 during the Tour de France!
Pro Cycling Manager 2015

The Tour de France is almost upon us, and during the race we will be giving away 3 free copies of the new Pro Cycling Manager 2015 game, through 2 different competitions.

Velogames Fantasy TdF

The first copy of the game will be awarded to the winner of our Velogames Fantasy Tour de France league.

Get on over to Velogames now to create your team (if you haven't already), and you can enter our league using the code: 26024632

The deadline for entries is tomorrow afternoon, before the start of the prologue.

'One of Four' Betting Game

The second contest will be run using our Fantasy Betting system. There will be a bet available for each stage, giving you the choice of 4 riders. All you have to do is pick the rider who you think will finish highest on that stage.

The winner will be the person who gets the most bets correct, and there will be two chances to win. The first part of the game will run from Stage 3 to Stage 12, while the second part will be from Stage 13 to Stage 21. The winner of each part will receive a free copy of PCM15.

The amount that you bet does not matter (so you might as well make as small as bet as possible), all that counts is whether you picked the right rider or not.

Prize Rule

To be eligible to receive the free copy of PCM15 (besides actually winning the games), you must be active on the Tour de France related areas of our forum during the race, through posts in either the Velogames TdF thread, the One of Four discussion thread, or any of the Tour de France stage threads in the cycling section.

Good Luck!

Patch 1.2.0.0 released!
Pro Cycling Manager 2015

Cyanide just released a new patch, 1.1.0.2.

According to what they have stated in the official forums and in the Steam Community Hub, the patch doesn't seem to affect anything that is not server/multiplayer related, however, a new general patch is in the works.

"Hey everyone,

We updated the game with a new build, which should fix the server issues.

We're sorry for the stability issues you may have encountered since the release of Pro Cycling Manager 2016.

Don't hesitate to give us your feedback on the update. We'll watch them closely!

We are already working on a new update to fix some of the remaining bugs. We'll keep you updated as soon as we have something solid on the next patch.

Focus Home Interactive & Cyanide Studio"

No changelog has been released, letting us understand that the server really is everything that has been touched.

PCMdaily Expansion Pack V0.5 Released!
Downloads

(partly written by sgdanny)

We're proud to present the 2015 PCMdaily Expansion Pack V0.5, our first official release for PCM 15.
The database includes lots of new features and takes your PCM15 game to the next level, where new features will enhance your game experience. We've worked really hard on the database and we hope you'll enjoy the first EP in a long time!

Instead of making a basic Real Name DB, this year, we jumped straight into making a big database, which, next to the traditional features of a Realname DB, also includes lots of other additions to PCM 15.

We would like to emphasize that this is not the full PCMdaily Expansion pack yet, this is the V0.5. It is bigger than PCMdaily Realname DBs have been in the past, though, and has much more features than any DB thus far.

Obviously, the PCMdaily Expansion Pack V1 will include even more features than this.

The Daily Expansion Pack V0.5 is now downloadable in the PCMdaily download center.

If you'd like to know more about the features of this database, make sure to click on read more, where we have explained it in more detail.

We hope you enjoy the database and any question can be asked in the PCMdaily Database Projects Forum.

(3 July update) A V0.8 has now been released.

Stages and Graphics for PCM 2015

Usual business with the PCM 2015 Forums to flourish with the newest game still dominating the website. In addition to the most popular Be a Pro discussion, we do have some interesting threads appearing in other sections:

- Stages: Real routes for Tour of California, Utah and the Giro del Trentino can now be found in Johan92 Stages. Also last year's Stagemaker of the Year will focus on creating 2015 races yet lacking original profiles - go and check Margh Norway's Stages. Also Stages by MC are worth a look, with a couple of real races and a fantasy Amstel Gold Race available.

- Graphics: With anderspcm, a well known face is back in business! Who ever's interested in accessoires will enjoy his work. People looking for their own fantasy shirt being made, go and see bwiggins' work.

Databases for PCM 2015

Of course DBs will be the most awaited mods for PCM. Several members present their ideas and plans in PCM 15: Databases and we do have a few downloads available. FDBRealname2015 and RSM-news DB 2015 as maybe the most notable yet. As for historical DBs, we see our usual suspect coming up with Sali's 1996 DB.

And speaking of databases, we do have to mention the most important of all. A Daily DB announcement has been published and you guys should watch out for more news on that this weekend.

(Story) Games

PCM.Daily Big Brother's Season #2 is well underway, with brewers90, knockout and Jesleyh as the trio fighting for the championship. Speaking of champions, we also had PCMDaily's Favourite Cyclist (Season #6) just finished: Thibaut Pinot vs Zdenek Stybar competed against each other in the Final. Check the results by yourself.

EPIC had a busy week, too: Peter Sagan as the most outstanding performer, winning a thrilling Ronde van Vlaanderen to then add a victory at the Brabantse Pijl. Especially Shonak's report for the RvV is worth a read.

The always popular fantasy cycling game has also being launched today: Velogames Fantasy Tour de France!

Daily's members go for League Code - 26024632

ManGame Madness

Pure madness with the traditional early season double-header in the ProTour on the menu this week: Tirreno-Adriatico (won by Daniel Martin/Aker-MOT) and Paris-Nice (won by Edvald Boasson Hagen/Aker-MOT) made our member ember a happy man these days.

Some more results from the Pro Continental Tour: Danny Summerhill crushed the competition in a tough cobbled classic - the inaugaral Kigali GP in Rwanda. Kristjan Koren delivered in Germany, when taking a surprising but deserved win of the Bayern Rundfahrt. Alberto Contador took the Volta a Catalunya by just 4 seconds on Florentino Machado, robbing Martijn Keizer the GC-lead on the final stage! The next races are already underway.

Thread of the Week

A few obvious threads: Be A Pro Discussion, Daily's Favourite Cyclist or the TDF pre-race talk probably would have deserved another mention here. And so they got one. As for the TofW, I'm going for the 2015 National Championships Thread though: always fun to check some weird results from time to time.

"It's like little kids on Christmas having to wait to open their presents. Only to realize that once they get to open them it's probably not going to be exactly what they wanted." - Mresuperstar (Release Time-thread)

PCM 2015 Release

The waiting for the newest PCM edition is finally over, with PCM 2015 being released this week. As recently announced in PCMDaily's news section, you can still support our website by ordering the game over gamesplanet.com, using the "PCM" promo code.

Of course there's a lot of PCM 2015 related threads/discussions underway on Daily: go and check the First Impressions: PCM15 or General Be a Pro Discussion to follow tons of first infos and mini-stories from the users' experiences on the first days of the release.

Also threads like PCM 15: Bugs should be places to visit now, as it may help Cyanide coming up with more patches afterall..

First Patches - first Realname DBs - first Editor

Only a few days after it's release, PCM 2015 should become more enjoyable with the first two patches and some realname databases released as well. Check the download section for those.

Lachi already came up with his first PCM 2015 compatible version of Lachis Editor, so it's about time to edit your savegames to stop your "Be a Pro" from being world class in his first season.

Story Section for PCM 2015 coming alive

The release of any newest PCM edition has often attracted those things called "community story", where you create your own fantasy rider to join the world of cycling. Jandal7 is the first to do so this year, coming up with MCP'15 (My Cycling Pro). If you want your creation to join the team Mapei-Bianchi, go and sign-up now.

The story section's newest entry: Be a Pro Stories from Ian Butler. The self-explaining title should tell, where you can share a little more detailed look into your BaP-experiences from now on.

ManGame Madness

The ManGame is well underway with a great pace of reports: the ProTour continued with the inaugaral Omloop Het Volk - a cobbled stage race with a cobbled TTT. Some weird gaps and many possible GC-contenders failing, while two wildcard teams took the primes here. Pieter Vanspeybrouck completing a huge race for BPost with his overall victory.

A lot of action in the lower divisions: Darryl Impey took the Barcelona Classic, Emmanuel Sella dominated the Vuelta a Tachira and also the next two stage races are already underway.. in the Continental Tour, Carlsberg's Marc De Maar rode to an impressive GC-victory in a thrilling Benelux Challenge.

As mentioned last week, go and join the ManGame Betting, which offers a whole new bunch of active bets today!

Thread of the Week

While TheManxMissile has asked us to make the "Release Time?" thread taking the TotW, my voice goes to the already mentioned General Be a Pro Discussion. It gives some interesting impressions from this certain newest PCM-feature, that certainly is gaining most of the attention this year.
