PCM.daily's 2012 DB V1 - 3, 2, 1, launch!

Update at 00:54: Files have been updated, so they now contain a database file that fixes a minor (but somewhat annoying) Tour Down Under bug. Torrents have been "reset" in terms of seeders/leechers and thus probably won't be fast during the night. I will be seeding again in the morning.

After a few months of hard work, especially by a certain core of people (you know who you are), it's time to finally release the final version (at least for now) of PCM.daily's 2012 DB.

A lot of you have already tried out the Public Beta, but to recap, the 2012 DB contains 83 fully updated teams. 54 of these have 2012 graphics. We also included 2012 photos for 50 teams, and 27 races have their 2012 profiles - this includes the Tour de France (with the exception of five stages), the Giro d'Italia and plenty of other major events. The full feature list can be found here.

You know the drill by now - the smallest download (Public Beta to V1 Update) is available now. Another update (Expansion Pack to 2012 V1 Update) will be available shortly while the complete 2012 DB V1 won't be available until tomorrow. Links here.

As soon as I select the PCM daily database my game crashes. Though it said the patch was succesfully installed. What now?

are you sure that the pack is installed in the correct cyanide/pcm 2011 folder ?

Thank you for replying Canonjuancho. I have not selected a folder to place the file in just the automatically selected one. It happens when I select the database PCM Daily and after that select a round like tour of Australia for instance.

Bergtrui: that's exactly the problem, you let the .exe point the folder. The name of the main folder of PCM can change depending on the language of your game (for example, Pro Cycling Manager - Seizonen 2011). The installation file of the Daily DB points to the English name of the folder, so you need to manually change it if your folder has another name. Here's how to correct it now: go to Program Files/Cyanide. There'll be two folders, one of them with the English name and the other with the 'normal' name. Copy/cut the files from the English name folder (Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2011) and paste them in the other folder, that will fix it.

Btw, your description of your error wasn't exactly right. The game doesn't crash as soon as you select the DB. I didn't answer you earlier because I thought it was another problem (and not this above) Wink

Just wanted to say a big thank you to all of the guys who have been working on this! I've been using PCM's databases for years now and I never took the time to thank you. So here's me saying a BIG thank you and know that the hours of work you guys put in on these huge databases are greatly appreciated!

#26: this DB is made for PCM 11, it won't work for PCM 10. If you made a typo and meant PCM 11: if you make the download from the link superrider posted, it's the only thing you'll need to download. After you've downloaded it, run the .exe and make sure to install in the correct folder.

As usual, PCM Daily makes the DB for the current game, not for past versions. So there is no 'the' DB for PCM 10. However you can find some 2012 DBs for PCM 10: in this site, you'll only find Altehacke's 2012 DB for PCM 10, but if you look in Cyanide's official forum you might find another.

#30: No, there won't be a release without the equipment being already bought. That is because irl, teams are paid to ride certain equipment brands, instead of paying the brands.

You can do it yourself though by editing STA_equipment. Put 1 in 'gene_b_is_locked' - this will make it locked when starting a career - and set the unlock price in 'gene_f_unlock_cost'. But note that you only need to do this in the equipment that appear on the pre-race selection screen (to know whether an equipment appears there, see if its 'fkIDequipment_marques' exists in STA_equipment_marques - if it does, then it appears on the selection screen).

hi, don't know if I'll get a reaction to this but I'll give it a go. I downloaded this and installed it to the main folder (Pro Cycling Manager - Seizoen 2011), its the Dutch version. But when i launch it it crashes and says that it doesn't work anymore. Any ideas to this? Should i just uninstall the game and delete the other files and then try again?
