Longplay DB v1.0 final with ca 1200 stage variations
Hello, this little release incl. my personal DB. It is based on the Portuguese Add-On to Expansion Pack for the PCM.daily's Expansion Pack (Final).
If you want to use this you will need to install the PCM.daily's Expansion Pack (Final). And only this the rest is provided in the upload here.
Database changes
I made the following changes to the porta db: updated stats for some riders, pictures and sound files incl. for rasmussen, sella, ricco, vinokourov, kaychenko and a few others.
I also incl. a new custom Team to the continental tour. Teams name is kelme and i incl. shirts and everything needed for the team. The team consists of well known names in cycling, such as berrendero, indurain, pantani, hinoult, anquetil and so on. Three of this riders will reach high stats and two of them are potentially winners of the TDF. I had much fun playing Kelme and got good competition cause i didn'T needed to hire any other good riders. If you don't like the idea of this team you can always delete the whole team with the db editor of the game.
I also changed the roles of team captains this leads to the participation of some good riders in the giro and the vuelta so you have real competition going on there. Also Wiggins will reach high potential in one or two years and will be a serious tour contender. Also Armstrong will be stronger in 2010 but after that his stats will decline again.
Race variation changes:
I included 10 custom variations for the subida naranco (held on start of august just before the burgos tour). They are in no way realistic and consist of mountain time trial and incredible hard mountain stages. If you don't want this then simply rename this file: Klasika Urkiola.rules. I also incl. a special version of the TDF for the 100 edition of the race (will be driven in 2014). I also incl. the sound files for 2006,2007 and 2008. If you use an english edition you will hear comments about the stage profiles. For any other languages just move the files to the correct location inside your game folder (sound and so on...)

Bugs: No known Bugs at the moment (this means nothing that makes your game crash but you will experience sometimes missing landscape for 100 meters and sometimes the stage makers really made funny turns into there stages but it can all be played without crash in 3D). Tested until 2017 (gameplay will last until 2026). But, there will certainly be stages which i only simulated and might crash in 3D. Please tell me which stage it is i will fix it, upload the repairs and you can play (if you wait so long and don't simulate over it). I mostly tested the grand tours (and there only time trial and mountain stages) and a few other races if i was interested in the stage profile. All of them have worked and i never had a hang-up with the db and my game is now in 2017 and i can still play for 9 years until all race variants are maxed out. But i overworked all stages and removed all possible cause of errors. The stages that might crash will only be very few throughout your game until you have the nerves to go up to 2026.
Ok. That's it. Have heeps of fun playing and i hope you won't step over to many faulty stages. I would suggest to use the kelme team my game has been a blast with them.
How to use:
If you want to use this you will need to install the PCM.daily's Expansion Pack (Final). And only this the rest is provided in the upload here.
Extract the files somewhere. Move all the files except the LPupdatedStats.cdb file to your PCM Game Folder. The LPupdatedStats.cdb file needs to be put inside your documents folder (user/documents/PCM 2009/Database). Now you only need to select the db inside the game options and your ready to go (DB name is LPupdatedStats). The stage variations will work with any db.
Further Explanations:
Also you can of course determine when to ride which tour variant. Just go inside the cm_stages folder and there inside the variant folder. If you know open fe. the Supervolta a Portugal.rules and then any of the Supervolta a Portugal.descr files its pretty self explaining what needs to be done. In the .rules file you see when which variant is played fe 2010 = variant 7. then in the Supervolta a Portugal 07.desr files you just look around and mostly you find something like 2007_cont2hc_portugal_stage_01 blabla. This should point out to you that the stages of variant 7 are from 2007. I don't explain this further. But just look around you see you only need to change the .rules files and look inside a descr. file to find out what years stages are used.
