To reduce the size of the installer of the 2017 Database, we decided to release most of the race variants as a DLC, like in some of the past editions. This DLC contains all Continental Tour variants, as well as most of the WorldTour variants - for instance, the DLC comes with 7 variants for the Giro and 9 for the Tour. We kept at least 2 variants of each World Tour race in the base download, with that being said. You can find the download link at the bottom of this post.
How to install?
1. Download the variants from the Downloads section.
2. Extract the content of the folder "CM_Stages", inside the directory where you installed PCM 16, under "CM_Stages". Generally, that's going to be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pro Cycling Manager 2016\CM_Stages. When you're asked to overwrite/merge, say yes.
3. You're set, enjoy the additional stages we've gathered! If you followed this guide, but you’re still having problems with the installation, check the FAQ on the PCM.daily forum. If your problem isn’t listed in there, ask your question in the General questions thread on pcmdaily.com.
I remember installing stage packs like this before and getting confused about the folder merge step, but this guide makes it pretty clear—nice work! Quick question: if something goes wrong, do you just delete the CM_Stages folder and reinstall?
