Will the puncheurs attack away or will the sprinters hold on and sprint it out? The course favours the puncheurs, but you never know!

LL Sanchez looks to win his second consecutive race, and if it comes down to a sprint between the hard men, then hopefully Bakelants will be there and unleash a fast finishing kick. But i gotta think Pozzato or Hagen are favorites

Tirreno, CI and Basque Tour seemed tailor-made for Hagen...

If Hagen was mine, I wouldn't have wasted his days on stage races All the hilly classics first and foremost. His TT isn't good enough.

Yeah but this one you would think would see a group of hilly riders go to the finish, and Hagen with a handy sprint would be a big favorite, as opposed to just hilly races.

i would have to say that criterium international is a tricky race bc it tends to have a small number of hilly riders get away (not always the best riders) and then it comes down to the TT for the other spots. but, should be interesting and fairly unpredictable

4th is a great result for Pellizotti, although a tad annoying to have led up to 300m to go and end up 4th
And wow, Sijmens effectively 8th in the bunch sprint with Barth also top 30.

Aww! Having almost caught up with Rabobank in Paris-Roubaix this makes them move easily into 1st again I guess...
Having said that 8th and 13th is decent. Thor did much better than I would've thought and Samuel was unfortunate not to get into the right group fighting for podium. Still a good run, and we are still in the top of PT I guess |

Yeah. Hopefully we can get them to fail at some point this season. As I see it they have used quite a lot of racedays already for the likes of Steegmans, Gesink and Sanchez Gil, who by far are their strongest riders... But let's see. We might have a huge tactical genious there, and then they can be hard fought!
Bravo so far, Bravo! |

Rabobank were still over 200 pts ahead of you after Roubaix
And i think Samuel Sanchez is probably the most raced of the team leaders so far

Rankings:
While Wikipedia did retake the lead after Paris-Roubaix, Rabobank storm back ahead thanks to their 1-2 and are holding a good lead at this stage. Warner Brothers made the most of the cobbles to go 3rd but are now back below Festina with Lipton Ice Tea up to 5th. Other than Eurosport who continue in their attempts to catch up, it remains very tight at the bottom end of the table.

Individually, Boonen is still the leader, with Burghardt now up to 2nd and Ballan and Pozzato into the Top 5, all benefiting from the cobbles. With 3 riders in the Top 11, you can see why Rabobank are doing so well at this stage

actually we have used hardly any race days. Gesink has only ridden in Paris-Nice and Crit. international (winning Crit and coming 2nd in PN, while LL Sanchez has ridden pais vasco and Koln (winning both). Steegmans has been the most ridden having taken part in Qatar, MSR, Monte Eroica, Omloop, Ronde, Gent Wevlegem, and Roubaix. But of course he has the most race days of the 3. We have just been really efficient.
While i would assume Sammy Sanchez has used a fair bit of his days, having competed in MSR, Tirreno, Crit Int., Pais vasco, and Koln.
But with all that said, i don't forsee us keeping it up. But hey, coming into the season, my goal was to avoid relegation.

Yeah I can see that now... The last couple of races has only increased the gaps of the 3 leaders.
Yeah I know that Samuel has raced more, but I have twice as many captains, that was what I meant :-) |

Indeed, your team has cleaned the plate every time they were eating...
You are hardly a relegation battling team. Far from that... If you are not in the top 5 by the end of the season I would be extremely surprised
But ofcourse it's difficult to say, since the 3 GT's are giving shitloads of points to a team like La Gazzetta with Damiano Cunego. Hopefully the new PCM will make the stages go to some other riders from time to another instead of making the strongest win it all.. So far it looks promising.
I have 2 GT's with Alberto Contador and one with shared captaincy going to Castaño and Ardila. Hopefully that will be enough to get a good result |
