Will anyone but Valverde be able to conquer these Spanish hills and take victory today?

It looks like all teams are represented in the break of the day - Diggle, Rodrigues Silva, Kuchinski, Wysee, Remme, Casper, Shimada, Ortega, Pagoto, Grippo, Galparsoro
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/llodio1.jpg

But despite the shared interest, Santander, Energie-Diesel and to an extent Vespa-Caffrey's are involved in chasing down the break. And with the gap below 2 minutes we have some attacks - Brajkovic and Bertagnolli
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/llodio2.jpg

Galparsoro takes this as a signal to attack the break, and a few others follow
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/llodio3.jpg

Vicioso, Nocentini, Valverde, Colom and Ginanni all attack from the pack
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/llodio4.jpg

Remme and Wyss lead, chased for Rodrigues Silva, Diggle and Galparsoro, and then a group of 13 including those pre-race favourites who have attacked
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/llodio5.jpg

Attacks from that 13 man group now - Vicioso, Valverde, Brajkovic, Bertagnolli
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/llodio6.jpg

And now nocentini, Colom and Ginanni
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/llodio7.jpg

Amid all the attacks, Valverde is the strongest - he has got himself into the lead, on his own
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/llodio8.jpg

Wyss, Bertagnolli, Brajkovic, Ginanni, Colom, Vicioso, and Nocentini in pursuit
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/llodio9.jpg

Onto the final hill with 6km to go and Brajkovic, Nocentini and Ginanni attack in a last ditch bid to catch Valverde
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/llodio10.jpg

And they manage it! Ginanni and Nocentini slot onto Valverde's wheel
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/llodio11.jpg

Brajkovic is close, as are Colom, Vicioso and Bertagnolli
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/llodio12.jpg

So here we go, Valverde leads out the sprint
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/llodio13.jpg

But here go the Italians, Ginanni and Nocentini
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/llodio14.jpg

Victory for Francesco Ginanni! 2nd for Nocentini as Valverde can only manage 3rd, with Brajkovic 4th
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/llodio15.jpg

Vicioso comes in 5th, while Colom just edges out Bertagnolli for 6th
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/llodio16.jpg

Wyss takes 8th, Remme 9th
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/llodio17.jpg

And Grippo rounds out the Top 10
i646.photobucket.com/albums/uu189/DailyManGame2010/CTC1/llodio18.jpg

And apart from the late attacker Ventoso, the rest of the Top 19 are all the other riders from the break.
