How we can use superior downhill skill?
What we must do to take away from riders having skill below?
For example - we are in solo breakaway, our gap is 50 sec, our DH skill is 80.
We were at inf/ relay 65 and downhill starts, what we must do to increase gap? |

it only comes into play if your rider is working hard on the front downhill or on his own, amazing how much time you can claw back fromt he group infront if you have a good DH rider on the front, you can move his effort bar to 85 and he still wont be losing green or yellow bars |

I`ve noticed, that when rider attack on DH he not loosing yellow bar, it even fills sometimes.
So, attack on downhill is the best choise?
Or maybe dot 85-90 - less speed, but more recovery of yellow bar? |

Attacking in a downhill is cheating really, because the AI won't follow you... |

The AI are following, sometimes. But yes, very easy to escape from the other! |

Cyanide did fix it, it is not so easy to escape on a downhill like in last years game. |

But you know that you do not have to attack on a slope? |

get in an early break away with your downhill rider eg. Voekler on a stage with a climb and decent descent about 30km from the finish line. If your lucky you will get over the hill with a lead and can attack or increase your effort on the downhill portion an stay ahead. |

Great advice- Thanks to all! I am new to PCM so forgive if my question is ignorant.
Which equipment is best for downhill finishes? If my rider is in great condition, he could reach the peak in a 45mo/44fl setup but will he descend faster than a 50mo/32fl setup?
I'm looking for ways to create time gaps or making up for lost time bonuses. Again, thx for the great advice! |

The equipment has pretty much zero influence. |
